This law is obviously written by some one with an agenda that doesn,t have a clue.
Example
"Must shoot parallel to the target"
You would never hit the target except in the side. You should shoot perpandicular to the target face.

The Crossbow is a factor in this equation.
On my Tenpoint QX-4 with the compound head I am comfortable with 40 yards
with the recurve head things would have to be perfect for 40 yards but I am generally comfortable with 30-35 yards

Hardwickbv, Did that buck in your avatar come off of crane property? very nice deer! Thanks Yes he come off Crane . I took him on the second weekend in 2004, he currently is the biggest ever taken at Crane and in Martin county. I am usually there every weekend and may be the guy that guides you into your parking spot or taking your ticket in the building after the safety brief. Thanks again Bob

Employees and Military assigned to Crane are allowed to hunt deer during the entire archery season. Contractors assigned to a desk inside the fence are essentially considered employees.
Employees are also allowed to hunt small game during any state season Employees are only allowed to use Firearms (limited to 22 rimfire and shotguns) on weekends and holidays, Archery is allowed anytime.
Waterfowl gets too complicated to explain here.
We are only to gun hunt deer on the same days as the state draw hunters of which there are 4. There is also 1 public disabled firearm hunt before the state draw hunts.
The dates for this years Firearm deer hunts are
11/6 Public Disabled Firarm hunt
11/13, 11/20, 12/4, and 12/11 Public/Employee Firearm hunt

I used to be a punchcutter fan until they quit making them Tried rage a couple years ago. Really liked the way they flew and the hole that they punched in the deer. The one draw back was removing or replacing the blades was more trouble than they were worth. I went back to slick tricks and have been satisfied with thier performance. Next on my list to try is Swhacker from what I have seen the performance is on par with the Rage and they have a better way to remove the blades using a screw rather than a pin.
