I use the 2 blade 100 grain. I have killed a slough of Turkeys with them and about a half dozen Deer. Not one failure and absolutly nasty blood trails. The only thing I dont like is how they sometimes come open in the quiver. I remidied this with using a small orthodontast rubber band around the blades to help keep them closed. I have also taken the practice blades and converted them into working heads. There killer looking in anodized blue Just put em the sweet spot and wait 20 minutes ;D

I was a diehard Muzzy fan, (and still am, really) but after the first deer I took with a rage 2-blade I'm hooked. The hole, both in and out, is simply astonishing, and the resultant blood trail eye-popping. My bow was a mere 64 lbs, with a medium wieght arrow. Both shots were at a pretty good angle, yet penetration was complete in spite of the cutting width, so I would say the old mechanical penetration worries are a non-issue.
Down side? Cost. They are very expensive. If budget were a huge concern, I'd recommend hunters stay with Muzzy or another established, non-gimmick fixed blade. Any good head that will fly straight ( and good fixed heads WILL fly from a tuned bow) Will do it. IMO the rage's chief selling point is more blood on the ground for weak eyed folks like me.
Also, I bought the replacement blades, spent 20 minutes trying to figure it out, then put them up for later. Not easy at all, IMO. If anyone want's to post a tutorial, then by all means.

Never used rage, but after my first encounter with mechanicals, I will never go back! I love my muzzy's!
For those of you that use them, have you ever hit bone? I used spitfires the first year they came out and they failed to penetrated a rib on a 140's class buck broadside at 12 yards using a 72# draw PSE. Actually saw the buck 2 days later chasing does with about 2 inches of my arrow still sticking out right behind his shoulder! Never again!
The next year, same bow, 32 yard shot through both shoulder blades USING MUZZY'S!

I have not used anything but Muzzys. My hunting buddy used Rage Broadheads last year and he is going back to Muzzys. He said the Rage opened up while on the rest and rattled a lot. Cost is also a big factor, way to expensive. Maybe if they went to an "O" ring to prevent from opening up and rattling?

After I shoot up the 2 1/2 dozen broadheads I have then maybe I will try them. Ive got Rockets, Muzzys, Spitfires, Hell Razors and Thunderheads. Ive killed deer with all of them. h.h.

I have shot a bunch of heads over the years and the Rage kills deer just as dead as any I have ever used.
Just as dead and a better blood trail than most.

I hit ribs on both deer last year ( hard not to with that cut) The first arrow I believe struck the bottom of a vertebrae on the way in and actually bent a blade pretty good. It still stuck in the dirt a little on the opposite side. Sometimes weird stuff just happens on shots. Consider T-Bone's bizarre "non-killing kill shot" on this year's monster bucks movie. That deer should have died in ten seconds.

I have only used muzzy's in the past. The first deer I harvested with a bow I used a muzzy and it blew right threw it like a knife threw hot butter! The following year I shot a deer quartererd away at 22 yards and I barely had any penetration. When I bought my new bow this year I picked up some rage braodheads. I am eager to try them out! If they do not perform the way i want then I can go back to muzzy's

I used to shoot the old spinning razorbacks, but since they have went away, I have shot nothing but muzzy's. They shoot the same as my field points. Cost is a factor with me, so I will probably never shoot a rage. And besides, my muzzy's have killed every deer that I hit in the killzone and several that I didn't hit where I should have.
On a side note, If I have the time, I am going to try to make some trade points to put on some bamboo arrows to use with a selfbow.

.... Rage gets my vote too! i have never witness a blood trail like "Rage" does....... accuracy too!...remember a blood trail will get you to your deer..of course you have to hit the right spot......bottom line...............

If you hit the right spot, any broadhead will give you a gushing blood trail. IMO, Rage is just another gimmic they try to make people think they need. And, once again, it is working.

I would disagree with that. IMO a broadhead design can make a huge difference in the blood trail of similarly hit deer. A rage isnt going to give a great bloodtrail on a gut shot deer, no head will .... but I have experienced center lung shot critters leave less than stellar blood trails using other heads.
