Mine costs me time and some wrapping materials. Can't see paying to have someone short me on venison, and give me someone else's ground meat in return.

I used to pay $75 and that included skinning but extra for sausage etc. now I do it myself and save the money but I usually still drop some deboned meat off to have sausages and jerky made since I dont have the stuff to do that with. It usually costs a couple bucks a lb. depending on what I have made.
I bought a basic game processing video from Walmart for $5.00 a few years back and have been processing deer myself ever since. The video was awesome and made it easy to process for yourself. I even process other peoples in the family for them and usually make $25 or $30 bucks on each one. Saving them money yet making a few extra bucks for my time and materials on packaging.
I know it can expensive and Im really glad I do mine myself now ! Good Luck to you all and if your interested in doing it yourself check Walmarts Sporting Dept. for the video " Basic Game Processing" Im pretty sure they still sell the dvd and it will make processsing it yourself easy !

Paid $90 at Geneo's in West Lafayette. The locker we take them to in Nebraska is $65. Both prices include skinning and basic processing. Where is this $60 joint raporter?

When we don't do our own, the locker we use is $65, includes skinning. $10 for caping, $2 to run the meat through the "cuber", $10 to smoke the hams, not sure about sausage. I took the "hands on" approach when I first learned to process my own. I caught one of the processing demos at the DTE one year. I ended up buying a boning knife there and have been flying through them ever since. My best time was 3 deer skinned, cut, and wrapped in just under an hour. It's amazing what the smell of fresh back straps cooking will do to a fat man's motivation.

I enjoy processing and making my own summer sausage, jerky, snack sticks, breakfast sausage and chubbies myself as much as hunting.

Just called them to make sure. I was wrong. $15 for skinning and $50 for processing. I think they went up $5 this year. Long ways for you to drive though. It is Sanders Processing at Celestine In.

kinda wanted to see what some of you pay for processing and does it include skinning/caping or not , and if so what is the cost. I figured you had your own processing center. To go along with your outfitter, taxidermy, magic mud, etc businesses.

Started doing our own last year. Prior to that we had used a couple of places. I think they both charged $70 for a doe or small buck. They charged $90 for a larger buck. Each had an additional fee for sausage and any special requests. I don't recall the exact cost of those.
