Get away to hunt so much? I, along with my wife, assumed I hunted a ton. I see different guys post how they get out so much and was wondering how? Seems like to me around deer season the OT starts at work, we have something going on at church, or something with the kids. If I'm lucky I get out once a week with the bow, but about 4-5 times a week with the firearms. I would think after too much you'd get burnt out.

Well, football slows me down. Then dentist appointments. Luckily (unluckily) I was not fulltime employed this October. Lots of time out in the woods! However, back to fulltime in Nov :-( But I work 3, 12 hr days a week so hope to still get out often.

A very understanding wife. Property 15 minutes away. Been at the same job long enough I get several vacation days a year .... and before the time change I can skip lunch and take off early enough in the afternoon to hunt for a few hours about any day I want.

I used to work 12 hr shifts and in 14 cycle I had 7 days off. I then took a promotion and know I work from 6am til 2pm mon thru fri and like many others have a very understanding wife that knows how important woods time is to me. I also save all my vacation time for this time of year so I can take 3 or 4 weeks off in Late Oct thru 1st week of gun season.

I married a good woman, so that's not a problem. I also work 12 hour shifts so I have a more days off to hunt than someone with a M-F job.
