I read about this and the defendants got what they deserved. The amount of dirt and rocks they took off a nature preserve and trees to move to their adjoining land on which they were building a home were criminal serve serving acts.

Just a thought, learn to do the work yourself. What you are describing is not complex stuff. I clearly understand if you are too busy. I am semi retired and enjoy tinkering in my maintenence barn so time is not an issue for me.

Weatherby MKXXII 17HMR, Swarovski scope. This is is the most accurate scoped rifle I own and is tied for best looking with a Weatherby Mark V Deluxe, in .270 Weatherby magnum. Go here: www.chuckhawks.com/weatherby_markXXII.htm. Could easily end up as a safe queen due to its looks. I have owned this one for over ten years and it doesn't even stay in the safe. Will shoot any ammo except Hornady

Thanks Jimstc for the congrats. The traverse is really dead in the hand and the draw cycle and back wall are awesome. The color I got was the optifade subalpine. I got mine at the Great Outdoors in Jasper In. for 834.00. Bob is the bow tech and really spent time with me and let me choose what was right for me. Heck they even fed me there. They has shrimp, potatoes and carrots made in a can cooker and pumpkin pie for desert. This was a fun experience buying this new bow there. Really good people. Thanks for the review of the Traverse. My wife just went to the PO to get the mail. Mathew's just mailed out the 2019 catalog and it was in our box. She almost didn't give it to me! LOL!

So how many surveys were there? Just one? I took the one referenced in the thread above, but that was in February, not after I checked a deer. There was a bowhunting survey which basically was a daily summary of what you saw while hunting from deer to squirrels to racoons and so on and how often and how long you hunted. It was a meticulous project but I completed it every day I hunted. It ran from opening day until gun season. I know that this is not the one being discussed. Nonetheless it was interesting to tabulate the time I spent hunting and what I saw. It was particularly interesting when the rut kicked into high gear and what I saw and the behavior of the deer. It was like an elementary school playground. I did get my magnet and a summary of the data collected

Times sure have changed for the better. When I got my life CCW license in 6/2009 I had to call the Sheriff's office and make an appointment. I showed up, filled out some forms, got fingerprinted and then was interviewed by the Sheriff. Several weeks later I got my license. The review process was pretty quick because I had a CCW license that was expiring. No online process then, at least to my recollection, which can be unreliable at times.......

Decided to pull the trigger and went to get a Mathews Vertix. When I got to The Great Outdoors in Jasper In. I shot the Vertix and then decided to shoot the Mathews Traverse. I ended up walking out of there with the Traverse. I liked the longer axle to axle length at 33". The bow tech there also shoots a Traverse and he had orders for 5 more Traverse's over the Vertix. He said the Vertix is Mathews flagship bow but the traverse is outselling it. I am very happy with my purchase. That 33" a/a really gets my interest. My Mathews HTR is 32" and I have seriously considered two of Mathews 34" a/a. One is a Halon model and I forget the name of the other as it is discontinued. I guess my preference for longer a/a is why I can avoid the temptation to shoot the Triax which is 28" a/a. I had not read about the Traverse. Thanks for the heads up and congrats on your new bow! Google, here I come...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oMkLz6akeB8

Just found out I have been selected for a draw hunt in Muscatatuck this turkey season. I have not had an opportunity to hunt anything here before and to be honest I have never been there before. I plan on scouting it hard on my off days but I was wanting to get some turkey hunting information about this place. Any information would be much appreciated. - PS I am not asking for exact info about where to sit and where to shoot thank you. I hunted this property two years ago with my grandson for youth Spring turkey. We lasted about three hours. This is one of the worst maintained public areas in Indiana. Of course it is federal property and that may explain part of my opinion. It is so overgrown that the access to the property is limited. I saw no evidence of a controlled burn. A huge part of the western property is no hunting. The best, and perhaps, the only access is at the far southern part of the property. There is a small lake and to the east of that is an old road that will give you access to the woods. Be sure to spray your clothes with permethrin and spray all uncovered skin with a repellent. The mosquitos are voracious. We did not see or hear any turkeys. I will never hunt there again. Just my experience. I am sure other hunters may have a more positive attitude about this property

Do you mean 4/8 surgery. If 3/8, prayers that it's feeling better. Prayer for fast healing for the 4/8 surgery Great news that you are turkey hunting on the 4/24 - 26. 3/8 surgery with 12 weeks of restrictions. Fused L3 and L4 (they were bulging), donor bone and titanium pins and rods. Also cleaned up some arthritis based stenosis. Those impinged nerves are still angry. Hence the leg pain. Getting better daily though. Thank you for the prayers.

Received an e mail today from DNR. Successfully drawn for 4/24-4/26 at Winamac. Opening day! Now if my surgeon will release me to go after my 3/8 back surgery. May just go anyway. Old and hard headed. What can I say?
Edit to add: Meant to say "Reserved" in the thread title. Can any of the mods fix that? Thank you
