I spent last week camping in the beautiful hills of Clarksville, Tennessee. There is a large traditional archery event called the Tennessee Classic. It's like a huge family reunion. People come from all over the country and there is usually a few international visitors. I get there early before the crowd arrives. We always have a nice group in our camp and keep it family friendly. We cook all our meals over a fire and have plenty to share. The property is a perfect setting for a gathering like this. The bow shop has around 20 work stations. They have a flint knapping pit for those who would rather break some rock. They have a 20 target practice range and a 40 target scoring range. They put out 138 targets for the 40 shot set ups and arange a scene at every one. They have plenty of vendors there if you need any supplies or equipment. I make the rounds and find a few deals. It's such a great time there the week fly's by and it's over before you know it. If anyone is interested I highly recommend you check it out next year. Our camp group He called this shot off the barrel and into the bears nuggets I set up as a wood vendor Some late night fun "Pappy", the owner of the property and host of the event helping out on a bow A friend testing out his new bamboo and hickory tobacco pipe that he made. This guy is a character. He is a very talented wood and metal worker. I enjoy spending time with him. Bringing a bow drill fire to life Rodent control on the range Brown Recluse on my wood pile It was a rough week for this dog Some work from the flint knappers Harvesting some feathers for fletching A lot of trading goes on. I came home with these bows with very little money invested. I made a bow during the week and put some copperhead skins on it that I traded for.

Cool stuff. Brings back fond memories.
I used to do pre 1840 reanactment "rendezvous" in a club. Was a lot of fun and an exciting growing up part of my life.
Sorry, but you lost me at "some late night fun". Lol. Yes there was!!! I "matured" a lot over several summers. I often reminisce about those days gone by.

Looks like a good time scrub! Thanks for sharing. I’m thinking that I would have had a before and after pic of the brown recluse!
