Robins only leave if the food source gets scarce. That said, last week I saw more than 3 dozen robins in one yard, all at the same time.

Cool! There is always a week or two here in town where every yard you pass has a couple of "cock robbins" battling over whatever big tree is around.

Saw bluebirds in just over the line in Michigan a few weeks ago. Robins for several weeks too. Yep we have a pair of bluebirds nesting I have two pairs starting. I have to bluebird boxes. Each one about 100 yards apart with my house in between. Works about 50% of the time. Good news is my new neighbor does not feed the birds. Maybe I won't have to shot any house sparrows (seed eater) this year. I don't feed birds because I prefer the insect eating birds over the seed eater birds. House sparrows will kill the insect eating baby birds and nest over them. Nasty invasive non native bird.

Nasty indeed. As a kid I was free to shoot any house sparrows and starlings I saw in the yard.

A had a pair of wood ducks fly by the kitchen window Tuesday evening. The landed in some trees near a small pond in the woods about 150 yards from my backyard. I'm hoping they nest near the pond. I love seeing them zoom around through the trees.
