Here's the information so far...
Fellas...I have messaged Shawn at Royal Flush and requested a morning hunt for Oct 10th. That is a Saturday. I will let you know as soon as he confirms but I don't see a problem at all with that date. However, I must confirm with him first. I told him to put us down for 3 fields which is basically 3 hunts or approximately 12 guys total. I can rework the numbers as needed. Mainly, I needed to get us a spot reserved. We'll work out the bird count later. It is early enough that we can add more if needed.
I've already contacted 2 other guides to potentially help with the hunt (besides me and Whitetail1). This is gonna be a blast!!!

Well dang nab it y'all....I'm hoping about the time the dogs are pointing that I'll be feeding the reds and trout shrimp in South Carolina. I've never hunted over dogs and it looks like it will be a little longer. Sounds like a blast and I hope there's some reports of a good times!!

I want to Thank Jon for starting this thread and I want to Thank HCG for the INFO he gave us . I was at work last night wondering on how to start this thread out , Jon you did a great job on starting it . I'm IN for the hunt . ROYAL Flush has a web page if you want to get an ideal on pricing and to check out the packages that they offer .

Wish I could attend, but leaving on Sunday the 11th for a grouse hunt in Michigan. Same group of us are going to SD in November for pheasant hunting at the same place we went last year with hopefully no blizzard conditions this year. I hope everybody has a great time at Royal Flush!

I never hunted quail before and since we are hunting pheasant , quail and chukar what shot shells should be used ?

I never hunted quail before and since we are hunting pheasant , quail and chukar what shot shells should be used ? I'd recommend 7-1/2's in 12 gauge. We don't allow anything over #6's and she'll length greater tha 2-3/4's. With 20 gauge or 16 gauge the same applies. |

Come on October... I had some major issues on 2 computers and had to open a new photobucket account. So, I lost the old photobucket pics. I have them save on a separate drive. Just haven't had time to load the new photos to the new account. |
