I am definitely no expert but have been going out with some guys from work. They are big into it. He has HPS lights. If you only have 1 that may be a big part of it. Even with the swamp eyes that you were talking about that light i would guess is between a 100w and 150w HPS based on the lumens. In my mind I would put 6 of those on the boat to cover the front and both sides of the front. 4 minimum to cover the front and a small part of the sides I would think. I know for me it may take 10+ feet (if I’m doing good that day) to identify a fish aim and shoot, with one light that may be tough to do. I’m personally going to buy a larger quantity of cheaper led lights in the lower 2000k temp to cover more area. Maybe eventually upgrading. I was thinking originally of just getting the bigger cheap LEDs and using and orange yellow tint to bring the temperature down but found some that claim 2200k instead we’ll see though.
Those swamp eyes look really nice for their ability to chance temperature. I have seen warm white and HPS on the water and the HPS are by far much easier to see into the water with. Any mud or dirt at all and the warm white gets washed out. I think if you get the adjustment you will spend all your time around the 2000k to 2500k range the higher temperatures just reflect off of the water and everything in it. It would be nice to dial in the color. At that price though it would be hard to go for quantity.
I did notice that when it’s really foggy the HPS tends to light up the fog and it’s hard to see the water but the warm white tends to cut through it, then it just doesn’t penetrate the water well.
Again I don’t want to make it seem like I’m an expert with years doing this... I’ve only done it about a half year using someone else’s boat and as much research as I can find on lights and stuff. Just trying to share a bit of what I’ve seen while getting a list of stuff for my boat.

I replied and then deleted it I think. So you said new lights. What do you currently have and what kind of boat and power are you going to have?

Thanks Wayne, I will see what I can find. The problem is this is an aftermarket unit that is no longer sold. Usually something someone would take out of a vehicle if being scrapped. If I find one on ebay or something that is currently working the price isn't far below a brand new unit.

I am working on repairing my programmer for my truck and it has an issue with the LCD display not displaying anything but it does have the backlight.
So I got the PCB taken apart and found the LCD module displaytech 64128E is no longer available. It uses a ks0713 IC which is no longer made. Since it's no longer made I can't find any modules that have this IC.
I can find a lot of modules that use a ST7565 IC but it doesn't appear that I can directly put any of these modules into my unit. The part I don't know about is this a pinout problem or a code problem between the ks0713 and the ST7565 IC? Is there something that I can use as a translator?
I know this may be a long shot but everything I can find says eh its not made anymore and rewrite the code. Since this is a purchased product I can't rewrite any code on the item. And I'm a mechanical guy not a programmer or electrical guy.
I am not worried about the physical size of a replacement as I can make a new housing.

I have had a few f250 and 350s over the years although nothing as new as what you have. Some of the things I have encountered:
When changing brakes just assume you will have to buy caliper mounts. I have never had so many caliper mounts go bad on vehicles I have changed brakes on. They constantly sieze up and you will wear one side down bad. While the other pad looks fine. This could be relevant because right after I got my 2005 the outside of the rotor looked good but the inside pad had wore down to the metal backing pad. If I backed up the metal pad would slide out of the caliper mounts and would get lodged locking that wheel up. I have greased these slide pins up more than anything else and it doesn't seem to matter after a few years.
My current 2005 had terrible ball joints on one side but it just pulled one way. It didn't feel locked you just had to counter steer or it would pull to one side.
I had an older f250 and the front u joints went out on it. This was bad because if the ball joint was just right the steering would be fine but if you rotated the ball joint say 90degrees it would lock up the steering. The ujoints had 2 bearings locked and the other 2 had the rollers missing so in one direction everything was freeish and the other you couldnt turn the wheel. Or what was really fun was if the axle started spinning while driving it would violently crank the wheel left and right. I thought something was broke.

When Obama was in office and gun/ammo sales were bloated everyone wanted to sell guns. 22 shells were being sold like drugs in zip lock bags... I was going to buy an AR from rural king last year for 400ish. They were selling for 2 to 3x higher. Fishing tackle for me comes mainly through the mail. I understand why stores are removing the poor performers from shelves. They have to make $. Based on the hoarding that happened there are folks that will not need to buy guns or ammo for decades! I was looking up the PR to show to a co-worker and saw them refer to Obama as one of the top conservationists due to everyone buying guns and the money that was collected as part of that.

I've always been told there is a 30 day grace period as long as you have a bill of sale that is all that's needed.

In hockey I use shampoo without water. Use a microfiber and put a layer on the lense then go to a spot with no soap and buff it out. I do it every time I play it doesn't seem to stick around much more than one game. Might work and might not.

Up until a few years ago I never knew how deadly rabies was. My wife got bit by a feral cat and got the vaccine to be safe. If I remember right there is only a couple cases of someone who survived having rabies without the vaccine.
For any of the people who haven't had it in a while it's no longer shots in the stomach. It's a series of shots in the arm now.

Was looking at wrapping some camo vinyl graphics on my 4 wheeler for hunting season. Camo4u seems to be the most popular camo wraps out there - www.camo4u.com ... Has anyone tried this? Hard to do? I wrapped my race sport bike some years ago. I'm trying to remember all the details but I remember having a felt type of block I could use to smooth the wrap out and I used an adhesion promotor for areas that are stretched tight or are in a deep pocket (therefore stretched tight not to get wrinkles). It's similar to vinyl but think of putting one big sticker on a large uneven surface. I've seen people use rubber squeegee things with spray water to keep from scuffing or tearing up the wrap when smoothing. A heat gun is a must have, you have to learn how much heat is enough to stretch the material and how much just burns it, I think it's relatively forgiving if I remember right. Watch some of the pro car wrap people on YouTube they do a lot of stretching out over the whole surface before squeegeeing it down so the wrap is kind of tight and you have zero wrinkles. Usually you start in the middle and start smoothing then re stretch after you get an area done and you start to see wrinkles forming.

Total wireless. $66.10 a month for 2 phones and 15GB of data. I was paying $173.00 a month for 2 lines and shared 1GB of data. You have to share that 15G data or is that each line? You share it. You can get another 5gb added on for $10 a month at any time if you run out.

I too am on total wireless. We have two phones and 15gb of data for $57 before taxes. It is cheaper than straight talk and they both use Verizon towers so you get the same reliability as if you were on Verizon. Month to month payment kept my numbers and couldn't be happier. The phone's can be a little confusing but essentially any phone that is advertised as Verizon 3g 4g LTE can be used. I bought my phones on eBay slightly used for not much money, get your sim card kit at Walmart and you are set. If I'm not mistaken any iPhone that uses a sim card is able to be used on any network so if money is really tight you could get an old 4s or 5 and use that. My uncle was on Verizon so he had a Verizon phone. Online total wireless has a feature to check the phone's gis number or whatever it is and it said he couldn't use that phone. He bought a cheapo to start with total wireless and as soon as he cancelled his plan with Verizon they unlocked his phone and he could use it on total wireless. I switched to Total Wireless about 3 months ago. It uses the Verizon network and I pay $100 per month for 4 smartphones and 25Gb of data. Very happy so far...

Are all of the bulbs the same as well?
Might be worth picking up a couple different brand bulbs to verify it isn't the bulbs fault.

Are these considered the high pressure inflatables? If so I would think it would be great. My parents just bought one of those paddle boards thought it was a solid board, saw a backpack and asked what it was and they said the board came in the backpack. I couldn't believe it, this thing is solid I wouldn't have ever thought it was inflatable.

I have the farm boss with a 20" bar and love it. It has plenty of power for getting through big stuff. Once the tree is down and you are taking care of the small branches it can get a little heavy but I like having the power so I'll put up with the weight.

Check grounds for corrosion. I have an electronic ignition on my 82 and had a heck of an arking issue due to some corrosion. Cleaned it off and all is good.
Maybe like a car try firing it up at night without light to see if you can see a spark arking somewhere other than the plugs.
I don't know a ton about that ignition but if something is actually generating spark it's high voltage and generally finds somewhere to land if not through the spark plug.

I started out a couple years ago with the scentcrusher go in the vehicle, wanted to see what the hype was. Went thru a drive thru and my truck smelled like the food bad. I plugged it in and completely gone. Another instance a friend of mine smoked in it, never would of let that happen normally, but i wanted a true test with the ozone, totally killed the smell. Now i have a couple of scentlok enforcer units i run in my totes and scentfree bags. Needless to say, im a believer in the stuff. I'm glad you brought the scent free bags up. My question about those is, since the clothing items are folded will the odor molecules still get trapped? Will the ozone still be able to effectively work? From what I read it works best if the air is able to circulate through the items. Not to say that a bag or tote doesn't work but I would suggest you don't fill it to the brim and pack everything in there. I saw a couple people that used just a regular plastic tote and ran the rubber hose through a hole in the top and used that on their way to their spot.

Also think about the items you put in there. There are certain materials that ozone will degrade rapidly and others that it has little affect on. I didn't notice any issues with putting all my gear in there but I probably only ran it 15-20 times last year. I've heard bad things happen to stretchy waist bands or the shoulder straps of bibs if they are stretchy. I had my neoprene boots and socks and everything in there and didn't notice any issues with mine.
I tested it a few times when it was hot out throw a sweaty shirt in there and when it's done you don't smell anything on the shirt. Not to say it's been cleaned but there is no odor. Also I put a sweatshirt that got washed and then sat in the washer for a day or so so it had that slight mildew smell as well as laundry smell after 30 minutes my wife couldn't smell a thing on it not the mildew smell or the laundry/fabric softener. Not to say a deer wouldn't pick something up but I was impressed.

This one specifically makes about as much noise as the air bubbles for a fish tank. Kind of that small compressor noise. Fine for a half hour inside but this one would be noisy if you tried to set it in a tree. Pardon my ignorance, I just don't know a lot about these ozone generators. But, do these units make a lot of noise?
