That is a good price for all those features. Let us know how it works!

I have seen more deer this year than in the last two combined in Jefferson county. That's where all our deer went! Over near madison, our little corner was a wasteland, and with less pressure than ever. Did have some nightime deer traveling through.

Exactly ^^^^ there most likely a in store limits that’s all anyone is gonna adhere to! What’s next you can’t buy anymore guns being you already have plenty.... lol that’s not gonna happen also! Not everyone. I was in a Madison gun shop some time ago and they had four boxes of 223, and more importantly a few boxes of 38. I could have bought all of them, but I personally think it's wrong to buy all of something scarce just because I can. ( especially if I already have some )I bought three total boxes. Greed is greed, and it can't be excused by the old saw "If I don't take it somebody else will." That's why we have a shortage. To each his own but I won't hoard.

So tired of this. How much shorter would that line be if the folks that already had enough were not in it? Is it possible to have enough ammo? 😁 Probably not, but in times of crisis it might be courteous to throttle back.

Reading the comments has me about falling out of the chair laughing. Where do these guys put their brains?? They surely aren't between their ears. Alas, the comment section of just about any article does little to bolster one's hope for humanity.

"Flea Market" should have been a choice, no more than I find, though I guess that's a 'where' not a 'when.'

HMMMM Where to start, I guess they could start off by sending a bunch of us hoosiers over there to help control the deer problem and implement some sort of system that Indiana has. Based upon population by state, province, district or however they name sections of land, having an extra season like the bonus we have here. Secondly, why don't they have something close to like we have here "Hunters for the Hungry", does Australia not have anyone over there who is short on food from day to day. And lastly to help out those "farmers" why doesn't the government pay them to slash their stock by 50% or some other arbitrary number. And far me to say that our system of Herd Management is perfect but it could definitely be a step in the right direction. I had the same thought... no excuse for anyone going hungry. Storage and transport could be an issue perhaps. It would be fun to bowhunt for a few years!

Called in several mulie does with the can call out in ND but it was mostly when I was heading back to camp after a burger and beer at the local pub. I was seeing several crossing the road almost every evening at about that same time, and one night I just stopped my old van right in the middle of the gravel road and stuck my arm out the window and tipped the can over a few times to see their reaction. Even with the headlights on and the old Chcvy six rattling like a threshing machine, they still slowly approached until several were within easy bow range. That gave me the confidence to use it more during daylight, but as I recall, the only whitetail I ever stopped with it was a button that stopped and came up a sidehill to the base of my tree on the first day of gun. I suspect he was looking for his mom. The only decent WT buck I ever called in was by accident one morning as I was climbing a skinny white oak just about at legal shooting light one morning and wasn't trusting the stand to get a good bite on the bark, so I "set" the v-bar each time as I went up another foot or so, making a solid "chunk" that I tried to keep from being too loud. I was about twelve feet up when I heard something coming at a lope on the ridge behind me. I turned my head to watch and it was a good medium eight, coming in with a stiff-gait, mane standing up, and a look in his eye that said he was looking for the trespasser who was thumping a tree in his territory! He came directly under me as I hung there from the climber section of the old imitation Baker, and stopped about twenty feet past me to look over the territory still ahead of him apparently wondering what became of the other buck he'd heard. I was still hanging there watching him a few minutes later when he seemed to relax and went on down the ridge and out of site, and I was able to finish climbing and pulling up the bow. Thinking back on 55 years of bowhunting, I suspect that a good part of my lack of success with rattling and calling was probably my lack of confidence in them. Read a good article one time on the selection of fishing lures by expert fishermen. Seems that most of them interviewed for his research tended to stay with the type they first had success with. As a result, most of them were very sure that their crankbait, or spinner, or plastic worm was the best thing they could throw in the water, and so was their selection to try first on a fishing trip, which gave it the advantage of getting first opportunity on a fishy looking morning, while others that may well have done as well or even better staid in the tacklebox, and may only have been tried after prime time. I know I had carried rattling horns and a grunt tube many times without trying them until well after the first light. Hard to try something you don't have much confidence in when it feels like you'd more likely be messing up your best chance on a nice still morning in the best part of the season, so the lack of confidence becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. Well said. Another thing about waiting until first light...what happens when you clack those antlers and that big one runs up in the dark? I always wait until I can shoot.

Whew! Thank God for that!
I went in and had my tires rotated at big-o once and they called me out to look at something.
one tire was split like that only on the backside where there was no way to see it. Almost a complete circle.
It was one of the "Big O brand" which I'd had good luck with in the past, but they are made only God knows where from year to year, probably china. I asked the manager if it was the chop sticks on the inside causing the issue and his subordinate cracked up.
These days I try to go with a "Name brand" when I can, figuring they might try less hard to kill you.

Opinions will vary on this. To the people harboring the deer - Not a good idea, but stay off social media and it probably would not have been an issue. To the complainer - Mind your own business. Pretty much my view. "Rules is rules, man" as they say, and though they may not have intended it to go as far as it did they had to know the neighborhood hall monitor ( same type that snitched on Anne Frank, imo )would rat them out. It was bound to end badly.

My wife made some cole slaw and put some jalapeno juice in it to spice it up a little. Add a dash of salt and I could eat that stuff by the tub full. absolutely delicious. Wanted me to put it on some bbq chicken, can't really do it unless I'm eating it sandwich style. And I don't feel so bad by eating a large amount of it since it's really not a mayo based slaw. Lots of veggies in it so I feel ok if I indulge myself on a 2nd or 3rd bowl. to all the naysayers out there, please don't burst this perfect place I'm in right now. Love the stuff. You can't put this out here without also including the recipe!! Into dangerous waters, your canoe has strayed...
