With the my FIL age and poor ticker, my wife was really concerned about him shoveling snow. I jumped on the opportunity I seen opening! I told her if I got a new snow blower, then I could give him my current one. She was happy with the arrangement!
I bought one today and a friend of mine delivered it while I was at work. I was really eager to use it tomorrow morning.
Then, about 1:30 this afternoon I got an ARLO camera alert. What was it you ask? My neighbor with his front end loader plowing me out! I was so disappointed!! All my anticipation just vanished with four quick passes of a giant yellow machine.
Can you believe the nerve of that guy?!
. . . . . . . . . I was truly grateful that he took the time out if his day to help me out. It's a wonderful thing to have great neighbors. I still have plenty of snow to play with tomorrow morning!

LOL. My neighbor has a plow on his F150. I specifically asked him yesterday to NOT plow my drive as I have an extension cord running across it to the floating live stock water tank heater in the in-ground decorative pond.

LOL, Indiana people and snow blowers...hahahahahaha. My brother moved up here and couldt wait to buy a snowblower, not so fun by the second winter. They do work good on our snow up here, very dry snow does not plug up the snowblowers but makes it tough when its really windy out. Ill stick with my old plow truck!!

I agree that for larger areas plows have their place in the snow too, also for commercial guys. I couldn't see using a snow thrower/blower on a parking lot. But I'll stick with the snow throwers, I have less gravel to replace yearly. Don't they use a thrower on airport runways?

Last fall I bought a lawn vac. Could I use it to vac up snow? Mice attacked my blower sometime since November when I fired it up. Chewed up some wiring and made their nest around the flywheel. I told my daughter I was going to make her cats earn their keep by cleaning up the mice.

I couldn't afford a plow or I would have! I almost did when I seen the prices. But, that's just for the dang blade. Not the mount for the frame, remote, wiring etc...

The bad thing about truck plows is that the keep changing the frames on truck so the plow you bought for your new truck this year won't fit the next truck you buy unless you buy a all new mounting brackets.

OR, have torch and welder, will travel.😉
