I think he's a little early but there are always a few that show up early. Soon there will be a pair fighting for every good shade tree.

I was going through some old Fur-Fish-Game magazines ( 1928 & 30-- Woody Williams, Editor ) that I've saved because my Grandfather contributed some articles, when I got to looking at some of the ads. Among the ads for Radium Belts, Trusses, and fur buyers, there were a number of interesting gun advertisements.

So I don't follow football enough, and got kind of sick of the political crap...anyway, is this Carson dude the Colts picked up worth it? Good or bad choice?

Very sad! You hate to hear of any gun shop going down.
I know the two gun shops in Madison aren't hurting for business. (Though who knows how much more they could be making if they could get what everything that customers are after) One does a ton of business online, and when I was in there two months ago it looked like a mailroom. There was a pallet about two feet high sitting outside the door which the owner said was outgoing orders. I was in the other shop a few weeks ago picking up a rifle and while everything was processing I talked with the owner about ammo sales. He said it's so scarce that if his supplier calls and says he has a pallet of anything, the answer is "Yes!"

Cancer sucks. Amazed at the vitriol sent his way, even in death. Liberal compassion!

First ammunition and guns, now ice melt and salt. It's almost like people who need it and don't have it, never pay attention to trends. Difference is, I was smart enough to buy ammo here and there over the years. Not so with the ice melt! I always think of that when i need it, and by then it's too late. The manufacturers will never make enough to serve a countrywide storm because they can't risk having all that money tied up in inventory if the storm doesn't materialize. Walmart always got in one or two pallets of various melt products at a time and a few snow shovels. Whenever the snow hit we'd put em up front and they'd vanish. Most of the time there wasn't anything after January even in mild winters. When the big snow hit forget it.

I remember we also had to replace the "brain" on ours once. ( Rheem. about 9 years old ) Some kind of computer that cost hundreds of Dollars. Luckily our heating and air guy got it covered on a warranty somehow.

Picked last week to break my seldom-used snow shovel cleaning off my in-laws driveway. Ha! Now that I finally need it...

It's a keeper. You should measure them year to year and see when you break records.

I bet Gorilla Glue Spray has enjoyed a bump in sales. It certainly seems to stick. I didn't even know they made spray. We just have to quit using anything like average intelligence as a yardstick when considering these folks. While we all do stupid things, some of us are experts, and eventually end up in congress.

I guess I don't follow. If you have to apply for the last stimulus? As in you hadn't received it? My wife did not receive the first or second one. Yes, bad wording. If you did not get the stimulus payment, ( first, second, or both presumably) you will need to apply for it via your tax return. Then the return gets flagged and has to go through a special review. Exactly this is why I was worried about getting ours before tax time. Fortunately it arrived on January 28th! We just did our taxes, and our preparer is guessing early march before we see a refund, owing to the late start. Thank God there are no stimulus complications.

If you did not get your stimulus payment you will have to apply for it on your tax return.
Expect to wait at least 8 extra weeks for your refund if one is coming. Having the stimulus involved will get the return set aside for review. Lets hope 8 weeks extra is worst case.
( per tax preparer)

Finally did mine. The ballistic questions struck me as odd, as most of us don't go around with ballistic tables in our heads. Seems like a good way to get bad data. Glad they are asking questions I guess.

Non hunters will never realize that the nutballs will never stop with contests or any other thing they see as more vulnerable. Then they will get mad when the same folks tell them what length leash they can use or when they hit the third deer on the highway after all hunting is banned.

Don't say that too loud, the owner of my hunting land, a proud and irascible Vietnam Vet, might hear you. Jane is high on his favorite list of people, right under Hitler. So Christmas cards and cookies traded back and forth every year? Probably an ugly sweater party thrown in there too I'll bet. I like her about as much as a Rosie O'Donnell, Nancy Pelosi, and Miley Cyrus marathon on the Hallmark channel. Tell your land owner I share his sentiments towards her. Also, thank him for his service. I will! He is justifiably proud. Being of short stature he volunteered to be a tunnel rat. He did not know it at the time, but I looked it up and discovered that his base was literally built on top of the largest tunnel complex in Vietnam. I found out what outfit he was in ( 25th Tropic Lightning ) and found an old war buddy of his on the net. They ended up talking on the phone! Got him a hat with the 25th insignia on it for a thank you gift once, and it's now a prized possession. I once printed out some pictures of his favorites to use as accuracy training aids..probably as specific as I should get. ha ha I think he mostly keeps me around to drag deer and print out the latest Hoosiers basketball schedule for him.
