The automated FB nanny bot needs a little tweaking. I've had thing flagged that made absolutely zero sense.
That said, there is an implicit left wing bias in some of the stuff they "cover." I've seen numerous Christian posts covered that there can be no other explanation for.

Our cat Jack got his name because the wife finally got tired of waiting for my son, who got the cat, to name him. She gave him three choices or something. Since I end up doing all the work involved with the cat (surprise ) I told em I get to name the next beast. Something cool like Agamemnon, or Sargon. lol

I am for the big 10. Love to see purdue v Illinois in the final game. Looooong shot there but both teams are capable. Supposing Purdue doesn't make it, my most fervent wish is for one of those unknown teams ( Huthahell U, Nevaherd..) to beat one of those teams that always seem to be in the final four like NC or Duke.

Down here in the south of Indiana, most people seem to think they are Kentuckians, as the big teams around here are Louisville and Kentucky. ( booooo...) I grew up rooting for the Hoosiers, the blood rivals of the dasdardly Boilermakers, yet, the Hoosiers aren't doing much these days, and since Purdue is an Indiana team and has never taken the prize I guess I must say-- however reluctantly---
Boiler up!!
( After all, how can I root against a team whose victory would make so many fellow Hoosiers happy?)

We had an F4 or F5 touch down not more than 1/8 mile from the house. How we didn't have more damage I don't know. Other than a broken window, a brick thru the roof and some other damage that was it. Trees on the other hand didn't fare so well. I believe I had to help Dad for the next month cut up Oak Trees. I don't want to go through that again. Too close!

I was taking two Clifty park co-workers to clean the south gate house when our phones went off. I said "The gatehouse is solid limestone so it's as good a place as any." We had no time to hunt around.
We peeked out the door as the steam coming from the power plant stack across the road changed direction about three times in two minutes. Then the beginnings of a funnel cloud drifted past. I don't know if it was the one that touched down or not. There was a brief blast of rain and golf-ball sized hail, and then nothing. Incredibly, a Duke crew burying a line for the gate worked casually throughout it all.
Meanwhile at home, A house in the subdivision right across from me was demolished, and several other buildings badly damaged. The thing seemed to skip around before crossing the river in dramatic fashion, pummeling Milton, then obliterating an RV campground toward Vevay. A barn in the country I have often thought of photographing is simply gone. Though we lost power, we didn't even have any limbs down. Very fortunate.
Have you seen this incredible footage?

I was told a number of details but at the same time ordered not to get too specific in terms of what I share, so I'll share what I think can't do any harm. He was from Georgia and had rode a motorcycle all the way up here. He had been staying in the campground and was thinking about being a camp host. I worked with him Saturday installing a split-rail fence at one of the residences, let's call it a trial run. He struck me as an average guy going through a hard time. Who knows what his full story was, or how many problems he had; one thing is now for certain: He'll never get a chance to work through them.
Life can take some quick turns. One day he was working with me, often regaling me with some tale from his past that related to the task at hand. A couple of days later he's lying dead in the grass hundreds of miles from home, within sight of my beloved North Gate. He did profess to be a man of faith, which makes me feel a little better. C.O.'s packed up his tent and whatever meager possessions he had this afternoon. It makes you think.
As I said I am thankful no one else got caught up in this dispute. Everybody else was in other parts of the park, though one of us had to identify him. I was choice away from driving right into this. Having finished my tasks I was "making a lap" checking on things as the day wound down. I came to the turn from the campground road...left takes you around a one-way to the inn. Right takes you toward the North gate. I hesitated, and eventually turned left. before I made it around everything had happened. If I had went right and saw his motorcycle, would I have looked closer and seen a heated confrontation going on and went over to cool it down? Most likely. What then?
Very sad situation. No matter what was going on, who started what, etc... there is one life ruined, and one gone. Potential never realized. devastated relatives. So much waste.

After a day of reassembling flushing mechanisms, picking up debris on a gator, and other non-offender related activities ( no work crew yesterday ) my son called me and said someone had told him they heard about a shooting at Clifty Park. I hadn't heard anything, but called my boss and he said yes, there were cops everywhere. From what I understand a man was found shot dead somewhere near the North entrance. There is a suspect but it was unclear from the news if he was in custody. I am just thankful that no staff or other park guests were nearby. It's a terrible thing anywhere but it seems ( to me at least ) even worse in such a setting. The property Manager said we will learn some more details at the "morning meeting" today.

The difference between your response and that of the honking baboons is illustrative of society in general; it also proves there are some bits of cotton sticking up amid the weeds. Thanks for being a good guy!

Clifty has this program going on, including the flag a third flag on the poles. I remarked that I appreciated the sentiment but to me it seemed A: poorly named and B: a solution in search of a problem. After five seasons at the gate I can tell you that every Race, Creed & color under the sun utilizes our fine park system.

A toasty 3 degrees in madison on Jan. 14. The truck gave me a scare. Went out to warm it up for Church and though it started, initially the little electronic window that displays the odometer and gear selector was dark. After the truck warmed for a few minutes it was lit again. *sigh*

The Following never happened. There was recently a meeting at a totally hypothetical workplace that began with the assistant manager coming up to the employee with a grave expression and saying, "I'm going to have Bob take over for you after lunch. You have to go to the conference room and meet with a couple of HR people from Indianapolis. Oh, don't worry, you aren't in any trouble." The employee walked into the room where a too-friendly guy with a notepad and a woman typing on a laptop were already seated. First question: "Does management ever make any comments about race or gender?" Other questions: Is there any problem with bad language? Do YOU use bad language? How do you feel about your managers? How do you feel about co-worker A? B? C? Specifics? DO you feel there are any problems here? ( all the while the woman typed away on her laptop } Our hypothetical employee used his experience with such corporate types to plant all the right seeds. The hypothetical employee in our story was later informed that the company received a good rating. Are these ( totally hypothetical ) meetings a thing now? YIKES.
