I hope after hearing from enough people they change their position on mandating the Jab. I have a lot of their stuff and probably will not throw it away but definitely will not be buying anymore but will be replacing it with something else.

When we had pigs I was always amazed at how strong they were for just laying around and eating. Solid muscle defying all health logic.

NASCAR has become too woke to let this happen.

This will be controversial, but if you process yourself, expect 30% of clean meat after processing. So a 100# deer will yield 30# of red meat. Is that number field dressed or on the hoof? I get ~45-50% of field dressed weight. To get this kind of yield you must leave some bone in and keep the ribs. I am closer to the 30% also. I always thought I yielded more but then I bought a good scale and was surprised at the lower number. It also takes me from skinning to cleaning up everything a good 4 hours which is why I am also always surprised when guys tell me they can do one in an hour.

I’m gonna need a slicer for Christmas. Yummo. I agree. I have looked at them several times but always concluded I don’t really need one. Now I have a reason. I never figured deer would stay together enough to slice that thin.

When I was in college my room mate was a Mossberg fan and I was a Remington fan. I would have never guessed back then Remington would go under first. (Or have they?)

I hunted my place yesterday, no signal on most of my place so I'm just now getting caught up on everyone's posts. I shot a decent 8-point, I believe 3 years old, at 12:30. First deer that I have killed at my new home-place. There was a little ground-shrinkage, but I don't care, I don't have much Indiana deer season left. I'm trying to fill my military refuge tag today, then heading out to join ukwil in South Dakota tomorrow. You at Big Oaks today?

9 hrs in the tree,0 deer sightings. Also,no welding, no sledgehammering,no everyday drama! It's a 100% fact that a "bad" day hunting is better than a good day working! It's a long season fellas, tomorrow is a new day. Good luck and shoot straight. Very well said.

Someone asked me yesterday if I liked the extra hour of sleep. I told them I didn't get an extra hour of sleep, I got up based on the sunrise...I just did't know what "time" that was now. Exactly! My wife says every year “why is it such a big deal to you?” I tell her I don’t get that extra hour sleep when you hunt you are dictated by the sunrise.

20+ mph gusts tomorrow. I think I might skip the morning and see how the wind does later in the day.

How do you get videos from these cameras? I have pic and video checked in camera setup. Do I need an upgraded subscription to receive videos?

Hmmm. I haven’t gotten any pictures since 10 - 9 at 4:03 Am. It has “up dated”. Last one wa at 12:01 am this morning. Have the deer and turkeys deserted my food plot? I don’t think so. I thought I read somewhere where a person could key a test picture from their phone? Or am I dreaming that? You can set them up to send you a “check” picture every so often to make sure it is still there and working but not sure about triggering an instant picture?

I have killed bucks following does from Oct to Jan so the “rut” must be whenever I am in the woods. At least I keep thinking that and it helps keep me motivated and in the stand longer.

Semi truck parts shortages are getting worse and worse. Sometimes trucks are held up for a week or more. Sometimes the companies are deciding to run their vehicles either inefficiently, unsafely, or not at all. New truck orders are up to 2 years behind according to what we are hearing. I work for a truck rental, leasing, and service company. Right now at my facility, we have every single unit rented out on the road. I have other local rental and leasing companies calling even at night looking for units. I have said "no" and "sorry" so many times recently, its nuts. Normally we can have a unit transferred from another location, but most (in Michigan) are completely out as well. On one hand it's great, meaning our revenue stream is flowing, but sad having to continually turn down long standing customers and everyone else. Really gonna be something to see how all this unfolds. We have been noticing a lot more blown semi tires on the interstates. I figured truckers were having to run them longer than normal and having more failures?

My father was a crane operator and saw very large diameter cables snap under load and he would never get into one of my lock on stands because of those small cables.

All this trouble because Gander Outdoors messed up your order. I will definitely keep this in mind for future purchases.

Sorry just read your reel type and I do not think they have holes so the tape is the way to go.
