Let me preface that I love my wife to death and she's an absolute saint for putting up with me for 19 years but:
Now most people wake up mad having a dream their partner cheated on them. She asked me would you rather have a 28 gauge or a .410. Of course I say .410. She hands me a long, flat box. I open the box and inside is a camo shotgun. In my excitement I pick it up and...it's a mossberg. Of course I had to hide my disappointment and I immediately thought if there is any room in the far back of either safes and what was the true cost of divorce. Thought some would find it a bit funny.

I own one. It's a 12 gauge 500A with a poly choke from the 60's that is branded and was sold through Western Auto. So, while I know what it is, it doesn't say it on the gun. I also have a Western Auto 22 riffle that Marlin produced for them.

HA! good one.
I own a 500 that if I'm being honest would be one of the last guns I'd part with.
I always thought, for the pumps anyway, they were hurt because of a cheap looking blue job. (Mine is camo,so not a prob)
I also have an old Revelation ( Western Auto ) 16 g. bolt gun.

You don’t like the rattling forearm or what? You know. Anyone that I've talked to that hates them never had said they don't go bang. It's always the rattling forearm. You know they have to know and you think by now they'd fix it. Probably double their sales. At least with those that don't mind an ugly gun.😃😃

Sorry, had to. I've owned three. All rattled. First was a old 500 that every time I shot it, the forearm would come apart. 2nd was a .410 that I bought to beat around as a rabbit gun and throw in the truck. I swear they took a 20ga and threw a .410 barrel on it. The receiver and stock were way too big to be built as a .410 alone. 3rd was a 835 that I won at a D.U. banquet. Owned it 3 years, still had tags on it, never shot it and I think I sold it for like $200 just to make room in the safe.

When I was in college my room mate was a Mossberg fan and I was a Remington fan. I would have never guessed back then Remington would go under first. (Or have they?)

I've got one mossberg. I bought it for $50. A kid had cut it down and put a bunch of tactical junk on it. The gun was practically new. The barrel was too short. I sent it to a friend and he brazed on an extension and filed some teeth into it. I keep it loaded with alternating buck shot and slugs. It's in a handy location in the house if an emergency ever arises.

My hope is that Remington is back. Supposedly the bunch that bought the firearms division have experience with guns and are in fact Remington Fans. I would hope that that would help them know what to fix.
