I got a pair of chaps from Menards. I think I got my hard hat with face shield and ear muffs there, too.

Brown county state park has quite the population of them. I’ve only saw one, but seems every year someone’s dog gets bit by one in the campground. I was talking to a guy that works at DNR. He told me the largest population of ratlers is the campground. People are sloppy with their food, which attracts rodents, which subsequently attracts the legless lizards.

I saw a T-Shirt at the track that said "Turning corners are for guys that don't have fast cars". LOL I recently invoked some life wisdom on my boys (17 and 18 yrs old) that I first saw on a tshirt at a track years ago: "If it has t!ts or tires, you're going to have trouble"

I just read a story that between the battery weight and the way the camber changes when Ravian trucks are in economy mode, tires are wearing out in as little as 6,000 miles.

Didn't they change their name to just "The Chicks"?
As I recall when "W" was president, they said they were ashamed to be American. Then they changed their name because "Dixie" is racist...but I would think be called "The Chicks" would be offensive to the feminists. 🤷♂️

Saturday morning I walked out of my garage and discovered a big black cherry tree down in my side yard. I was busy Saturday and waited until Sunday evening to clean it up.
Sunday evening I took a load of limbs to the burn pile in the field, and discovered a big sycamore down in the fence. So then I had to take a half day Monday to get the tree off the fence and fix the fence.
And I never heard a thing Saturday morning when the storm went through. I didn't even know it had rained until I opened the curtains and saw the deck was wet! 🤷♂️

From what I've heard, most Kia's that are stolen are just taken for a joy ride, driven like they are stolen, and then dumped. They aren't being taken to chop shops.

Article 1, Section 10 of the Virginia state constitution states: That general warrants, whereby an officer or messenger may be commanded to search suspected places without evidence of a fact committed, or to seize any person or persons not named, or whose offense is not particularly described and supported by evidence, are grievous and oppressive, and ought not to be granted."The landowner did nothing wrong. His brother's violation was in another county. Doesn't seem like enough probable cause to me to take the guy's camera. or shown exigent circumstances existed (the imminent destruction of the data/evidence) to take the camera.

We are reading one side of this. There is probably more to this than meets the eye. Not much to read into it. DNR was there and admittedly stole the camera without a warrant. DNR has the right to trespass while investigating, but taking the camera without a warrant crossed the line. There were no exigent circumstances. I hope the landowner gets a nice windfall from the lawsuit and the CO gets a reminder in citizen's rights.

Best place to get cast iron cookware is at antique stores. They typically have quite a stock and it's no more costly than new Lodge cast iron stuff which isn't broke in or seasoned. What? Lodge says their stuff comes seasoned! 🤣

The lot behind the red semi was my niece's mom's house. Total loss, but no one was injured. They had had just got home from bringing my niece's kids home when it hit. They managed to get to the basement in timen, then they had trouble getting out of the basement for all the debris. Luckily they escaped unscathed. 🙏

We were driving back from FL and all hell broke loose on us as we got to Franklin. I had heard it was supposed to be windy with some storms around, but had no idea the severity. To make a long story short, we had to shelter in the truck up against the leeward side of a gas station building under the canopy. I wanted to get to the hospital that was about 0.5 mile away, but couldn't make it. I could barely get off 31. Heading to a ditch was a no-go due to overhead power lines. The lightning lit up the sky a color of green I've never seen before. The NWS came over the radio and said a confirmed tornado had touched down in Franklin and was moving east at 60 mph. Turns out we were between the two tornadoes that hit Johnson County. Luckily we had no damage or injuries, although the power was our between Franklin and White River, with debris on the road and a couple of trees down on the east bound lane of 144. I can't say my brother's baby momma/my niece's mom was so lucky. They live in Sullivan, and there house was destroyed. The had trouble getting out of the basement because of the debris. Glad all involved are okay. That color of green is something you will never forget. I don't know the explanation for it, but it is distinctive. Yes it is!

Realtor here, I deal with this a lot. In my opinion this is why we are seeing issues. In many counties (can't speak for all) assessment values were much much lower than actual home values. The dramatic increase in property values over the last few years caused the assessed values to grow just as fast. We were spoiled for a very long time. FYI you can contest the assessed value if you feel it's wrong. We have a friend that tried that. By the time he was done, it was way more time and money spent than it was worth. I realize this is the formula that has been in place for years. I’m just getting sick of the increases. I've got mine reduced before. I had recently refinanced and the actual assessment was lower than the county's assessment. All I did was submit the appeal and copy of the assessment. A couple of years ago I helped my Mom appeal her assessment of her back 5 acres. They changed the assessment from agricultural to residential. We still run a few cows on a little bit of it, but most of it is across a creek and not very accessible. I planned ~1,000 trees on it a few years ago and told them it was agricultural for the timber. The assessment was reduced to close to what Mom wanted.
