I found a blow up doll in my woods once... Should have kept that one to myself... My father inlaw. ;D I dont think ever believed me when I said I found it in the woods I've seen a lot of things in the woods, but this one takes the cake.

The last time I bowhunted, I had two guys waltz right down the trail with their bows. They got about 10 yards away before I let them know I was there. I was fairly angry, but decided if I ever get to bowhunt again I'm going to carry a camera and my CCW, in case the pictures I take for the Sheriff make someone react unwisely.

Nice. I'll let this thread work a while and then put everything into categories. Keep them coming.
I've heard great things about White's boots.

Are you going for a certain look or are you just looking for a committee build? Remember camels are horses built by committee.
I can't wait to put a Tactical Solutions barrel on mine, but that's just me.

Hammer blocks are also referred to as "transfer bars" as well. I believe the different terms are copyrighted. IIRC, "Transfer Bar" is what Ruger calls it.

Can't agree there - Having to take the time to chamber a round in a high stress situation isn't necessarily easy in the first place let alone you will likely be playing catch up to start with. I just saw some footage recently that proved that point. What it does prove is holsters that are reinforced at the top (steel band etc.) or polymer holsters are a good idea (and are easier to reholster anyways; and you need to inspect all your equipment. This "might" be true in a "very-very-very" few cases but still it all boils down to gun safety & common sense. It's true in EVERY case where someone NEEDED to use their CCW. The video Dave is talking about is quite graphic. Short story is, it shows a man desperately trying to chamber a round while he is being shot to death.

I have a Kahr K9 Woody. Love it. I don't know if there is a wear in period with the CW9, but mine was something like 200 rounds before they recommended carry.

It has to be the talk of the Mercantile! I've been meaning to get up that way one of these summers and maybe sling a few arrows with the North American Land Ape.

I've got the P3AT. It used to go with me everywhere. Light and disappears in a multitude of places.
I did polish the feed ramp with a muslin wheel on the dremel so that it would feed Cor Bons reliably.

Duff I've shot the XD's and I have been quite impressed. 1911's are nice as well though, so I'm not really much help.
Get both.

LOL deertracks. No machete. I do have a plan that involves snaring cats with guitar strings if it gets bad. ;D The youth center where I teach Judo opened up the rec area to accept donations on base. I don't think you could fit another box of stuff in there, people have really stepped up to help our host nation. They have so much stuff, they are worried about how they are going to get it up there. Hopefully it finds a KC to fly up on soon.
