I've watched a few head-to-head youtube vids on these calibers. I'd probably go with 360 Buckhammer if brass were readily available. I like the Henry lever guns. Edit to ad link www.youtube.com/watch?v=kKrypAANOZc

I get delayed about half the times that I purchase a firearm. Who knows why? All of my info remains the same.
I don't know that I'll be making many, if any, more purchases. I'm at the point of needing to eliminate a lot of stuff.

Came across a nice, round hole in the ground with a lot of critters going in & out. About 8 oz of gas down the hole, and haven't seen 'em since.
Don't like to pour such in the ground, but like getting stung even less.

35 Rem ammo & brass gets harder to find all the time. At 75, I probably have enough for the duration, but if I didn't cast & reload, the ol' Handi rifle would rarely see daylight.

I like to watch some of the old western series that air on GRIT TV. I've noticed that many of the good, and bad, guys will all but close their eyes, and poke their guns forward when they shoot.
Some of them are amazing shots! Maybe the fact that there is absolutely no recoil helps.
And those 20+ shot revolvers.......!

Mowed mine here in New Castle Thursday. Wouldn't it be great if veggie plants were as tenacious as these weeds?

Squirrel hunting with a buddy way back in the 70s, he was putting the sneak on one that he heard cutting. As he stalked the edge of the field that bordered the woods, he stepped into a covey of quail that exploded at his feet. I'm glad that he had a healthy heart!

Seems like so many times when I catch something on my first cast- that's it! Happened again the other day. Went to Westwood, just west of New Castle, sun had been shining all day and I thought that a few might be close to the bank. Casted a 1/32 oz jig and a big 'gill snapped it up.
That was it! I "washed" lotsa small baits after that but no hits.
Just another one of those unexplained mysteries!

Had an encounter with a Great Dane that was running with 2 other dogs a few years back. I shot a .357 round in front of him and they ran off. I wasn't hurt, but had I not been armed, it might have turned out differently.
I most always carry my S&W 357 when in the woods.

At 74, I'm tired from just reading all of this! Think I'll put the laptop aside and take a nap!

One thing that I know bout snappers: They love to find a stringer of fish. I've last some nice bass while bank fishing.

I like a good breaded tenderloin samich! Park's, here in New Castle, has a pretty good one.

Praying for you & Mrs. My wife has gone through 2 bouts of cancer, and she is doing fine today. Trusting that your other half will have a speedy and completer recovery.

Jalapenos are pretty much my limit. Gonna try to grow some Carolina Reapers to sell at the local Farmers Market.
