I like a good breaded tenderloin samich! Park's, here in New Castle, has a pretty good one.

Funny thing is, most tenderloin sandwiches you get are actually boneless sliced shoulder (Boston butt) that's been run through a tenderizer or pounded thin.

I suppose it might as well be made official. It's the de-facto king now. I love how they provide a tiny bun that serves no purpose. There is a nice place in Versailles that serves a killer 'loin, sans bun. Can't remember the name! Heartland maybe?

There was a grocery store in Vincennes that had a tenderloin sandwich about as big as a dinner plate. It's been since around 1993, but it seems like the place was McCoy's? It was excellent.

Back in the 80's I would travel to the State office building in Indianapolis for meetings every couple of months and several times we would eat lunch at a VFW or an AMERICAN LEGION can't remember which but it was couple blocks from the State office building. They were known for HUGE tenderloin sandwiches as big a dinner plate you had to check to make sure there was a bun somewhere under the meat.

The knuckle sandwich that used to be in waverly had one they called the hubcap, because it was that dang big. Man that thing was good.
