$2.89/gallon vs $4.29/gallon for diesel has something to do with the food prices...... What do you eat that isn't transported by something using diesel fuel?

When I was shooting competition 22LR the first few would always be off a little bit. So, the rule was shoot the first 5 into the sighter bull as fast as you could load and shoot, move to the 2nd sighter bull to to verify that POI hadn't shifted, THEN use the remaining 10 minutes to shoot 10 shots for score. We'd always clean the bore spotless after every shoot or practice. For competition, off a "little bit" could cost us points as the bullseye that we were shooting at was the size of a head of a pin. We were shooting 3 position 50' indoors. Peep sights front and back.
I did miss a coyote at 867 yds with the long range gun. I knew it'd shoot 2 moa high for the first shot, so I adjusted 17" low for the first shot on the pair that was feeding on a dead steer. Shot the first one, the 2nd one took off running. I just sat there and the 2nd one came back to see why the 1st one didn't follow and I forgot to adjust up that 17". At the shot I watched the dirt spray about 10-15 feet in front of the 2nd coyote and it didn't come back a 2nd time.

They need to get their story straight. Either it damages stainless or not; it can't be both ways. We've been in our current house 17 years while using a water softener drained to a sump pit. It is a pedestal pump and I've only had to change out a switch. Hard telling how many years that pump has seen brine water before we moved in. Cheap FloTech pedestal pump here, had to change it once since 2009. It's RED due to the iron in the water. I have a spare sitting next to it, all plumbed and ready. All that is needed to switch it out is unplug from wall, undo a plastic union, re-attach the new pump/union and plug it back into the wall. < 5 minutes from start to end.

Only put eyes on one other skurry today. Heard one barking as well, but that's it. We saw more acorns on the ground than ever. I saw 6 after you left, all were running across the gravel road in various places. Didn't bother going after them, I was too tired, and didnt' get home till after 3pm my time.

My softener goes to sump pit too. It then goes out to the yard (all year 'round). I am not concerned about freezing in the winter due to the salt that it uses plus I have a gutter heating element in the drain line outside so if it is really cold and I see that it freezes, I can turn that on and thaw out a path for it to go. It's roughly 40 yards from the house where it exits the ground. (pop up 4" drain)
I would not run it up and out like they were suggesting, and I would run it to the open discharge for the washer if you go that route.

Long range rifle is 2 moa high from a cold, clean barrel vs a dirty cold (or warm) barrel. Once it's dirty (one shot) cold or not it doesn't matter.

I have been looking but the prices are generally at least as much or more than I can get new one at discount. I was wondering about that. Buy new, sell the parts you won't be using.

Well, that leaves me out! I'm a novice. LOL
I did learn something a week ago. I had brats on the Z-Grill on "smoke" and couldn't get home soon enough. The grill ran out of pellets and when I got home, saw that it was out of pellets and added more. (smoker was down to a box temp of 150°F) It wouldn't fire back up and I was getting an LEr error code. I ran it through the shut down cycle, and tried to fire it back up, still no go. I pulled the brats, ran them up to temp in the oven and put it away intending to look at it the next day.
Well, the next day ended up being a week later. The owners manual said that the LEr code was a low temp code and that I needed to check the "hot rods" and that I needed to contact customer support if both the Draft Inducer Fan and the Auger Driver Motor were operating. It was after hours so I packed it away for another day.
I decided to give it another try the next day and it seems to be operating the way it should..... I'll keep an eye on it and not put something in it that would need to be tossed out if it doesn't cook it all the way. Maybe it just needed to cool all the way down before being started up again? I have no idea.

Here's the generic question (email) that was asked:
I need a clarification in regarding sporting goods items. I have read the rules and the Community Guidelines. It states: "Promotes the buying, selling, or trading of firearms or weapons (including ammo) is prohibited." I am asking for clarification on what is considered to be a firearm, a weapon and what is ammo. I will list specifics below.
Is selling a knife allowed?
Is selling a crossbow with arrows allowed?
Is selling a compound bow with arrows allowed?
I realize that selling a firearm is NOT allowed (I consider a firearm a weapon that is regulated by the ATF and must go through a FFL for the background check), but can the following be sold on a Pro Boards forum? All the following items are NOT regulated by ATF and are not required to be sent to a Federal Firearms Dealer to go through the background check.
A barrel for a rifle or shotgun?
A magazine for a rifle, shotgun or pistol?
A stock for a rifle or pistol or shotgun?
On to ammo. I realize that loaded ammunition cannot be sold. But can the following be sold?
Can fired brass (no primer, no bullet no powder) be sold?
Can a bullet be sold? (no powder to make it go down the barrel, no primer to ignite the powder, just the projectile alone - either lead and brass or solid brass)
(I'm not asking about primers or powder, because they need to be shipped via HazMat).
Thanks!
Scott
And here is their answer:
Hello Scott,
Sales of weapons and firearms of any variety are not allowed on ProBoards forums. This includes knives, crossbows, compound bows as well as firearms components like barrels, magazines, and bullets.
Regards, The ProBoards Abuse Team
There you have it! Scott

If ProBoards is contacted please leave H-I out of the conversation. Make it a generic question. Generic question sent.

I was supposed to stain/seal a deck today. That didn't happen. Then I got completely soaked stocking fish in a pond. It wasn't that many fish either.

That is correct. BUT, Firearms or weapons are not parts and accessories. If anyone takes a look at the Classified ads, they will see bows & arrows listed for sale. Greg, research and see if bows and arrows are considered weapons. I have no issue with the rules being applied equally across the board. But to single out firearm owners and not apply the same rule to archery equipment is a crock of you know what. Are knives a weapon? Those are in the classifieds. If a rule is going to be enforced, then it should be enforced equally. I am still waiting to see the reply from Pro Boards on whether non-FFL regulated firearm parts are prohibited. I've been waiting since March 2016 to see the response from Pro Boards and have not seen a reply from them yet......
