Greetings I have five airguns hw 57 in 177 hw 97 in 22 a bsa r10 in 177 a bsa ultra in 22 a kral puncher in 177 i use a cheap compressor from Amazon used it for about three years, i also have a hand pump as back up if you buy the cheap compressor on uk amazon one can take three years insurance out on it one cannot go wrong if doing that, All of them are sub 12ftlb all of them kill anythinhg i shoot them at if i can head shoot it out to around 40 yds which is about my maximun i use them at but i will say Alexander killed a crow with the hw97 springer at a measured 55 yds just to show dad he could do it lol. i have been doing an awful lot of rat clearance with them for a farmer, rats are a lot lighter than roe deer lol. for rats i use the repeating pcp with a pard 007 on the scope as they are much easier to operate in the dark, for day time hunting i like to take one of the two springers just as accurate if one is used to them. just been told the rabbits are back on a farm i am allowed to shoot so i will take my two lads with an airgun apiece and see how they perform now that they are adults, as kids i took them and they could bowl them over one night they had 13 of them in the bag, regards Billy Billy, it's good to hear from you!! How have you been? A friend has a Daystate, I'm drooling.....

Oh yeah. I feel for you Sasquatch! The past month has gone like your past few weeks.
Coming home about 4 weeks ago, abut 2 miles from the house on Rt. 30 I hear something hit the inner front fenderwell. Turned on the TPMS system, front tire was going down FAST. Got it on a side road before I ruined the tire. Big T-Storm to the west approaching quick. Got the tire changed (2 jacks, etc.) and just as I pulled in the driveway it started pouring. Sherwood tire was able to patch the tire, but it took the biggest patch/plug that they had. Got a TV, its taken 3-4 days to get it mounted to the wall and connected to everything. Then 5 days ago, same place on Rt. 30 I hear the right rear inner fenderwell go thump. Yep, THAT tire was loosing air, so fast I couldn't get to the side road. I have a plug kit and air compressor in the truck, it looked like a 1/4" bolt punctured the tire and came back out. I was able to get a plug in the tire, get it up to 45 psi and limp the 2 miles home. It's holding air, but the sidewall now has a small bubble in it now. So, I took it to Sherwood Tire and had them swap the spare tire for that tire and now that tire is the spare.
Mowing the tall grass by the road, I ran over a 1" or so wide ratchet strap that must have came off a truck/trailer..... I had JUST sharpened the mower blades.
I sold the neighbors zero turn mower last week and had to deliver it. As I was coming home a HUGE doe ran in front of the truck. ABS was complaining, trailer tires were sliding, I steered behind her and she barely grazed the front bumper. Exact same place that a yearling stuck her head last October. So, now I need to take a bottle jack, some lumber and push out the chrome bumper. No lights or grill was touched.
The list goes on but you get the idea.........

Here she is all set up and pretty!! Good looking rifle! I have a lightweight Mark V with a Swaro scope and a Vanguard with a Leupy on it, both in .257 Weatherby Mag. The chambers are cut a wee bit differently in each, if I just bump the shoulder back .0005" I cannot use the same brass in each rifle. SO, I use Weatherby Brass for one and Norma Brass for the other. The Mark V had a Vias brake on it, and when shooting with a bipod on the bench both rifles would hike up the left bipod leg. I had Kirby make a small painkiller brake for the Mark V (a partition brake) and now it doesn't hike up the left bipod leg. The Vanguard still does but since the barrel wasn't threaded when I got it, it will stay as it is. I have run the Mark V out to 800 yds on steel and shot a speed goat at 750 yds. I am shooting 130 grain Wildcat bullets in it. They have a rebated boattail. The Vanguard is shooting 115g Bergers.

Went to Applebees yesterday for lunch with a customer. main course was $20.99 - we both got the exact same thing. No appetizer, no dessert, 2 iced teas each, I guess the "extras" like sour cream on the potato, etc. all add up. The bill was $69 and change before leaving a tip.

Just enough rain up here to screw with mowing the grass, but enough to grow a bumper crop of skeeters too!!

Yesterday bluegills for Mothers Day. Today wild turkey, rice, corn on cob and jalapeño corn bread. Tomorrow back to fishing to resupply for Father’s Day fry. Bass fillets will work just as well.

We ended up with a drum, channel cat, one crappie, and two bluegill. Everything went back in the lake this time. Really made it known that I have to get a trolling motor before our next trip. This baiting lines stuff all the time is actual work. Trolling is much more relaxing to me. Yeah 100%. Get one with auto pilot. That and GPS map changed how I fish. No going back Spot lock is nice too.

I'd say try it and see how it functions. If it fails again, it's time to find it a new home.

Shoot them at a pattern board at the distance you will be swatting the geese for a visual of what the pattern looks like. Everybody does it for turkeys, why not other birds? I plan on doing just that. I'll be using the #3's for ducks, the BB's for geese. I have duck targets ready to go. I will take a pallet and put masking paper across it and the duck target in the center so I can see how the whole pattern looks. I'll try all of my choke tubes at their recommended ranges as well. I think/hope I'll have a good understanding of the patterns and chokes when I'm done as well as my set-ups limitations. What would be interesting to see is how the 2 sizes of shot pattern in the same choke tube at the same distance. You might find that different sized shot needs a different choke tube to perform best.

I placed an order for a case of 250 3" 1-1/4oz. #3 and a case of 250 3" 1-1/4oz BB. Roger's Sporting Goods had them on sale for $179.00 plus I used my reward points for an additional $50 off. The order came with free shipping as well. I think I made out pretty good. I have watched a plethora or reviews on the Federals and they seem to perform really well. I used them this past goose season and liked the results as well. Shoot them at a pattern board at the distance you will be swatting the geese for a visual of what the pattern looks like. Everybody does it for turkeys, why not other birds?

I hit a doe Thursday night. The trailer was sliding, abs on the truck chattering. Barely kissed her, she hit the same spot that a yearling hit the front bumper last October. Barely dented it in a wee bit further, I believe I can push it out with a bottle jack. Nothing else touched except for the front bumper. Not the fog light, grill, etc., etc. She was a BIG doe, she was as long as the truck is wide. She ran from left to right, I steered left.
Then last night not 5 miles from home I was on Rt. 30. I heard something hit the right rear fenderwell. I flipped to the TPMS on the dash, that tire was now at 50 psi, all the rest at 67. Pulled over and the tire had 27 psi. Got out, there was a hole in it. This happened in about the exact same spot that I had a flat less than 2 weeks ago on the left front.... I have a plug kit in the truck and an air compressor.
Last time I changed the tire because I was able to get to a side road before the tire went flat, this time I was on the side of the highway. No way was I going to change a tire there, a few feet from trucks and cars going 60+mph. Got it plugged and aired up enough to limp home. I topped the tire off last night and it's holding air this morning. I don't know what it is about that area on Rt. 30, but that's twice in about two weeks. Luckily I didn't ruin a tire either time. Last time the tire shop said it was pretty big, it took the biggest plug/patch that they had to fix it.

I took a bunch of photos. More vivid on the camera but still amazing to the naked eye. Pillars, waves, etc., etc. I'll try to upload the pics to imgur tonight.

Fished Rend lake in southern IL Mon & Tues this week and had a good trip. Four of us wound up keeping around 100 nice crappie with a few bonus catfish and managed to dodge the majority of the storms and rain showers. Had a fish fry Tuesday evening and everyone took a few bags of fillets home. I drive past there every few weeks.

I'm glad to hear that nobody got hurt and that you were back on dry land safely. I was out on a ocean fishing trip out of Oceanside, we were down south of San Diego in Mexican waters. We left the dock on 3 engines, came home on 1...........IIRC it was a 3 or 5 day trip.

You might be surprised at how much it would cost to fix. Go get an estimate.
