I actually have to undo so of my finished projects. We got all the stands pulled, cleaned, and put away before the end of the year. I have noticed now that the weight of those stands is exceeding my comfortable limits on my barn trusses, technically the 2x4s between the trusses. All those stands that will fit through the door are coming down and going into a small shed next to the shop. No clue why I didn't consider it before, but this will eliminate ladders and the need for a second set of hands to get them in and out.
You really do get smarter with age and injuries, but sometimes you're just slow about getting there.

Before it comes up, the vaccine comes in multidose vials, so the tracking chips and nanobots would have to be in the needle or syringe. I got a hip replacement about a year ago. I can be tracked decades after I'm dead with the right database. :-) If anyone is truly worried about tracking devices, their first concern should be that cellular device so comfortably attached to their body.

^^^ These are true words. I don't know of any person that ever met him that doesn't have good to say about him and the effect he had on their lives.

That’s my concern too Rob... It’s not just “Coyote contests” that HSUS is after. Next will be trapping and then bowhunting. Honestly, this type of thing was an initial concern when she was introduced and she stated she was going to use more social issue stances in decisions that she made about wildlife issues. I truly do try not to judge in first impressions, but this seems to be backing up those feelings. Was she hired before or after the bobcat meeting mess?

Awhile back I got a over all pamphlet in the mail from Edward Jones describing opportunities for one to invest in stocks or bonds. Looking over it, and targeting the possibilities for Indiana I saw some bonds for Section 6 of the "new and improved I-69". Hmmmm, our illustrious Governor has repeatedly stated that I-69 was paid for and will soon be completed. In my world, "paid for" means no more checks going out to pay for that project but I find that I can purchase 30 year bonds to pay the for the final work. Years ago when the wife and I had a new house built and any and all bills were paid off, we still did not own the house as the loan to pay for all of that consisted of monthly payments that was strung out over 20 years, plus we had to put the banks name as part owners of the lot that we had owned outright for several years. Now if the last section of I-69 is supposedly paid for, how can it be paid for if the State is still paying of all those bonds for 30 years. Ah, yes, it's called "smoke and mirrors"! Anybody care to describe how I am wrong in my assessment of how I see things? Wasn't that the same thing O'Bannon said when he got this useless road approved?

My biggest concern is the HSUS having direct contact with individual DNR personnel and then DNR having to ask them for time to gather data before they implement the HSUS ban on coyote contests.
With much fewer tappers taking coyote than before and hunters not taking a significant number of coyotes each year, these contests are a major help with population control and have no chance of wiping out the coyote population.
The HSUS has no place dictating DNR policy. Most people will not be concerned because it's just a coyote, but contests are not their end goal. The end to recreational hunting is their end goal and this is just another step in that direction.

Green Sycamore isn't much easier than the Elm..... I don't think dry hackberry is either. Then again, I bought a 37 ton wood splitter almost 15 years ago and my biggest issue now is the size of the blocks.

At this point I would take it apart. Its already broke;the worst toy can do is fix it. The broken metal can be repaired with jb weld as mentioned. I have fixed alot of stuff in my life by taking apart and studying. Had knee surgery yesterday so the motor is back of the bench for a bit. From what I'm seeing I need a gear puller to get the guts out, so that is my next step.

Well, it seems the saga continues.
I spent yesterday pulling, cleaning, and storing stands so I didn't get back to the motor until today.
As I was starting take bolts out to remove the lower unit I believe I have found where water had gotten in. Right along the lower unit/shaft seem I found a small chunk missing the is almost the exact size of a flat head screwdriver.
My best guess is someone before me has tried to take it apart and broke that little chunk out. Im trying to figure out the easiest way to determine if it is the leak, then gotta decide a course of action.

Stands pulled, ran through the car wash, and hung up in the barn. It's completely soup out there. The water the trail around the bottom field was above the floorboards on the ATV when I went through it.

The more videos I watch on this thing the deeper the rabbit hole seems to be.
The upswing being I have a 55lb thrust electric motor to put in its place for a while.

Have you removed the prop? I believe there are two seals on the prop shaft. They can be damaged by fishing line and allow water to get into lower unit. I did the other day when I checked the shear pin. I didn't notice any damage but that doesn't necessarily mean anything.

So...... step one has changed the path forward.
I got all my tools out and set up, got the oil plug out fairly easily, then was immediately met with the game changer.
I got about 1/4 to 1/3 of a cup of water out before anything that looked like gear oil started.
I'm gonna let the sludge drain overnight and start back in tomorrow. I need to watch a few more videos to cover seal replacement. That is one thing on the "Have To" list at this point.

We are actually still using the boat to harass the local goose population.
I may try to pull it apart and see if I can even get to the gears, but I think I'm gonna call some mechanics and at least get a price guesstimate first.

My Kentuckian cousin has one he uses traveling. Says it works well for his needs since it can easily go to whatever vehicle he is in.

The saddest part is all this money, construction adversity, and land loss is to make the drive from Evansville to Indianapolis 20 minutes shorter. Have you driven from Bloomington to Evansville on that stretch of 69 yet? Absolute ghost town. No matter the time of day I drive it, the lack of traffic never ceases to amaze me. No, but 37 north from Bloomington through the construction was enough to encourage me to find another path.

I have been half heartedly looking for one more deer for a local guy to make into breakfast sausage so I've been taking the 308 every time I went to the farm. At about 5:40 yesterday the BIL got one he didn't want.
So in the dark and rain one good sized doe went to the sausage maker, one soaked BIL got a ride home, and one Sheriff's commission took a ride on the flatbed.
The good news is this was the old car, his new commission is in just not road ready yet. Downside is he was going in to work OPO hours, didn't make it 3 miles from home, and lost out on the overtime.

So...... just finished a very in depth video about multiple reasons a motor won't run in reverse. I believe I am way over my head/ability/tools and will be going forward only until I can get it to a mechanic. Or trade it in. KISS, look for the easy to fix problems first. It may be something really simple. This video was really good and went through all the possibilities from easiest to hardest. Im going to do that, but the what appears most likely is the gears being rounded and slipping. That one I don't want to try to tackle.
