I guess we'll find out if it's a pricing mistake or not. :-)

When I worked for a trucking company, we had a box of about 150 or more CB's at work. They eventually got pitched when we got bought by the truck rental and leasing company now. I could have given one to everybody here for Christmas. Lol.

Price when added to cart is now $100, so any sort of deal that might have been is now gone.

My business is semi truck rental and leasing now. Very rarely do we have guys put CB's in for short term use.
I did work for a trucking company prior, and even then, only about half used them. Mostly the long haul guys that stayed out for weeks or month at a time had them. Most all use cell phones anymore, and that is all head sets nowadays.
I still have a Uniden Washington base at home with a lollipop mic. I don't have an antenna setup anymore. But it was fun back in the day to pretend you were somebody. Lol.

Well, you win some, you lose some. LOL!
I just thought for the price that it might come in handy if cell phone coverage is cut. Not as good as HAM, but better than nothing at all.

Just for the reason of a grid or cell ph shut down I and my kids and my brother all have CB's. We all know how to set them up and use them. Even have a set channel to get in touch with one another. Along with that we all have solar chargers for the cell phones. I know that wouldn't help of the block the signal's These days you never know. If all else fails there are tin can and strings !

Sometimes the tin can and string would be better than our cell service! Sometimes we get texts hours, days, or weeks late. Unreal.

My Kentuckian cousin has one he uses traveling. Says it works well for his needs since it can easily go to whatever vehicle he is in.

I've been watching videos of people diving in rivers and finding all kinds of stuff, they found a CB and it reminded me of this thread and a question.
Would using a CB with a traditional hand-held mic violate Indiana's hand-held device distracted driving law?

Most guys we deal with nowadays are using GPS and hands free cell for communication.
