I know your not in Indiana because the water is clear enough to see the rocky bottom and your dog isn't covered in mud. Where I hunt you can't see 2" and my dog smells like muck for weeks after season. What part of WA are you in? Pasco, WA

It's amazing that you have snow on the ground and your bag consists of wood ducks, green wing teal, pintails, widgeon, mallards and geese. Does your wife have a sister? Haha!!

Little late getting this up, but this is my first deer kill with a bow. Got in the stand at 3:30 yesterday morning in Kentucky, he walked by at 3:50 and I made a decent shot on him at 23 yards. The thing I enjoyed most about it was the process. Backed out give it time, went in and tracked him, lost blood trail so me and my buddy started a grid search. Found him right off an old logging road. Doesn't get any better than that! The thing I enjoyed most about it was the process. Meijer in Evansville just started carrying a bunch of deer hunting gear. Some of it, including a lot of broad heads, are on sale for 20% off. Just letting everyone know!

if you'd come around more often LOL! I'm usually active right around deer and turkey season, and once or twice during waterfowl. Just didn't get back on here early enough this year.

I usually hunt KY, and have already tagged out as of Thursday! Hunt private land owned by family, lots of birds there.
My question... I have two friends I'm trying to help get into turkey hunting, and they're Indiana residents. Trying to find some land that would give them decent shot at a bird to hunt on. What do you guys recommend as far as land down here in southern Indiana? We live in Evansville.

Woody, on the NWTF site you point us to it says to add both beards together. You're still only allowing one beard to be measured, correct?

Put team 8 down for 1 please. Weight - 19 lbs. Right hook - 1 3/16" Left hook - 1 3/16" Beard #1 - 10" Total score - 62.75 Also for a team name, can we go with "Beard Busters" instead of "team 8"?

Sound like the job is almost done. Should finish it I wish I could! Headed to Wisconsin. Had no time this weekend so I have to make due and get it finished when I return.

Is it in a freezer or refrigerator...big difference. However, if the temperature is kept below 40 degrees, even if kept in a refrigerator, the deer will be fine. When I take my deer in to be processed (I usually butcher my own) I request that the deer by hung for 10-14 days before processing. It's in the deep freezer. Backstraps, two hams, and a shoulder. The other one got blown out. Just don't want to spoil while I'm away.
