SRuss, Can we have the particulars on your bird? Thanks, Sure thing... 19lbs. 3oz. R-spur 1.125" L-spur 1.125" Beard 10.5" That makes the actual score 62.6875 according to the NWTF site. I miscalculated the weight the first time.

Was going to do a couple small ones, but my focus has been diverted... wife just delivered our 3rd boy! Next year will have to work :-) My congratulations! Just think two more and you can field a basketball team! Exactly! 😜

The beards off of every bird I have killed, that's how I keep track of them. Whoa! Didn't realize you were such an accomplished hunter! That's incredible. I need to do something like that.

I've got the fans spurs and beards from all five of the turkeys I've shot. Was curious if anyone had ideas on how to display them all together? Looking for some unique ideas here.

Wow, am I right in assuming all the numbers are in and my team won, the nameless TEAM 8?! We should meet up for dennys or something and celebrate :-)

Filled my second Kentucky tag yesterday afternoon. I was walking to a different spot and this bird gobbled off in the woods to my left. I did a quick set up between two low hanging cedar trees, called on my mouth call and he gobbled and started walking toward me. He ended up walking behind me, and coming out in the field to my right. He's lucky his head is even still attached… When he cleared the tree line he was 4 feet away for me! Nice double beard too.

It just got wild.. I had two gobblers come into the field 15 yards from me. I had been calling several times about ten minutes before. They headed straight for the Avian X Jake decoy. I had to wait until they separated and shot one. They other one didn't leave but started flogging my Jake decoy .. I let him do that awhile but then I thought he might puncture it. Plus my bird started flopping again so I thought I'd better go get him.. I finally got out and ran him off . He went back the way he came.... Two year old bird but a nice beard.. I got a video of the second bird posturing after flogging my decoy. I'll download it later.. Congratulations!

Thank God now we can quit talking about ducks and by the way sruss01 I hope you get a case of sheeeets from eating those Washington ducks. Oh! and BTW my dog says your dog looks like a sissy dog with that vest on. My dog says to tell your dog that when you retrieve as many ducks as he does, you need a vest. 😜

Well, I'm back! Enjoyed some good duck hunting in WA. We shot 79 birds while I was there, usually only two guns in the blind. Now to cook some of this meat!
