I'm up in the climber.
Saw a nice buck, along with a smaller one chasing a doe on my way here.
I'm set up where I saw the big buck move through last night.

I don't think it looks too bad yet. Bedford weather shows a forecasted high of 59*, average high is 56*. I would certainly like to see that forecasted high temperature drop a bit between now and then though.

titanium700 That's crazy! Did you call the TIP line or the park office?

Only deer I saw was a big buck, moving fast through the brush about 150 yards out, about 15 minutes before dark.

Well, I'm up here sweating through my short sleeves. This is a good spot though, where I shot my buck last year. Having fun!

Just a doe and a possum in my spot. No hero shot so I guess the opossum wasn't B&C? He was a nice one, I just wasn't up for the pack-out.

Got a buck laying dead under my tree. Not as big as I had hoped but lots of meat and no tracking. I love it when they run to you and drop. Nice! Can't wait to see it.

If it were a real problem, it seems like they could just make you use your buck tag on the park hunts.
From an outsider's perspective though, it seems like the hunts have been pretty effective overall.

I was supposed to leave work at 2:30, and the boss just gave us "59 minutes" early leave today, so I'll be slipping out of here fairly soon.

t-minus 48 hours until my first hunt of the year... It doesn't seem like it usually takes you very long once you get started either!

Well, the party must've been elsewhere tonight. I didn't see anything.

I'm up in the climber. Wind is real swirly, as it's seemed to be the last couple weeks.

Maybe not everyones cup of tea, but I charge my AR at the car and put my safety on. My 350 legend is a side charge, so it's not as bad. Same, unless I'm climbing a stand.

At work this morning, but changed my schedule to where I'll leave an hour early each day. This at least counteracts the time change and I can hunt each evening still.
It's going to be warm later this week, hopefully they'll still move some before dark.

It's a little gusty, but not terrible yet. It took about 1.5 hours of walking, but I finally found some good sign and am set up for the day. How was the line situation at the gate this morning? We rolled in at 5, and there were 2-3 cars ahead of us.
