Nice buck. Congratulations. If you could just train them to run the truck it would great.

Outstanding!!! Congratulations on a fine deer!
The very first deer I shot with a bow was at 7 yards. He ran just a few steps closer me and I thought I had missed also. Until I heard the blood hitting the leaves under him. His back end got real loose and he tipped over. Your story brought that memory back!
Thanks for sharing! Now take some time and spend it with your patient wife!

Congrats. Nice buck. I was kinda that way with my wife. There's a lot going on and taking a few weekend off is a concern. Roof shingles dropped off today. So I know that either yesterday or today was the drop off day. That is way I took that 8 pointer

Congrats buddy. I know.the feeling about leaving the family. The wife and little one have been widows the last few weekends and I've taken the older 2 out hunting.

Thanks guys. I skinned the head out and have it ready to cook with my dad's buck tomorrow. I saved the hide from mine. I'm going to try to make buckskin leather out of it. I haven't done that before so it will be a learning experience. I pressure washed the fat off of the flesh side of the hide this evening. It worked well but I was a mess and soaked by the time I was done. I'll have to do some more research to see where I go from here.

Congrats on the deer....I am guessing that pet coon is on the hit list next!😊 I haven't seen your lost cat in a while. Two new jumbo coons moved in and started swimming laps in my bathtub almost every night. They have been removed. I hope your cat shows back up with his winter coat on.

Congrats, that's the way to do it!!
I might get out in the morning, but I have to be back to the house early. FedEx is supposed to drop off a package that needs a signature and I don't want to miss it or give them a reason not to deliver it.
