my 12 yo shoots a 44 mag cva hunter paid just a tad over 200 60 for a scope and he dropped his first doe this year at 65 yds. low recoil and he can shoot out to 100 yds but i wont let him just yet on an animal.

I had a big doe, two fawns and a yearling doe come into my salt block that is 32 yards away. Real nice doe that would make good eating... Of course I'm sitting on my deck sipping coffee, talking to momma and checking Hunt-Indiana.com on my iPhone.. unfortunately sometimes thats how it goes.. i dont use cams for that reason. dont want the dissapointment of knowing i wasnt there when they walk by

Just the way he worded it...stand fell while he was in it but his harness kept him safe while the stand fell to the ground. That's what I figured. I have a tripod stand, nowhere to tether onto except the stand itself. It makes me feel better about falling out, but if the whole thing comes down you're riding it to the ground. that would be one heck of a ride. i wouldnt ever want to ride one down.

went up to camp with my 12yo son and did some mapping last night and checked out a spot. feeling confident this year. 2 heavy trails coming and going from corn to hay and brush to corn. they make a big X 30yds where we plan to set up. this is going to be the year for him i feel it. gonna hit it hard next weekend. oh and he picked the woods he wanted to hunt
