I have always been a Mossberg fan. I have owned, and still own, several. This is the first one that has given me any issues. It's also the first autoloader I've owned. I now have a bad taste in my mouth for both. Had Mossberg's customer service been a little more friendly, I might not be as upset at the brand.
In all reality, I have had several issues with this gun and they have been of no help to me. From a busted forearm retainer, broken mag plug to the not cycling at all issue. I hope the gunsmith can fix this gun so I can sell/trade it with a good conscious. It will no longer have a home here.

I shot my turkey yesterday morning and, wouldn't ya know it, it did not cycle another round. Mossberg has me taking it to a gun smith next week. The gun smith will do the inspection on it and contact Mossberg in reference to the repairs or if it'll need sent to them for repairs.
Thankfully, I dropped my bird with the first shot.

My buddy was finally able to connect on a gobbler yesterday. The majority of the day was birdless but, finally around 3pm we were hearing lots of gobbling and we had several encounters. When we were giving up and heading out, he spotted a red head in a tall wheat field. Then another one. These two toms were bedded in the field. Just popping their heads up occasionally. They were in the middle of the field and a good 150 yards from us. He decided he wanted to try and stalk them, which he did successfully. He got within 20 yards, stood up and the toms got up and bolted. Only one made it to safety. Fun to watch! Wow....thats impressive. Gotta be part injun! I wish I could attach the video! It was pretty cool to see!

Taking a break from the woods for now. The toms did exactly what we thought they would. Just a little further into the field than we had hoped. They were gobbling like crazy just a little before 6. A couple hens and a lone tom snuck in behind us but, way too thick to shoot through. Just a few moments later, two toms exited the woods into the field and came our way. They must have seen something they didn't like and started to veer further into the field. My buddy and I both agreed they were in range and decided to shoot. Mine dropped but his ran off. He tried a follow up shot but, no luck. We've been searching for another bird ever since.

Good morning all!
We roosted some birds last night and will be setting up fairly close to them this morning. With any luck, we'll be where they're wanting to go.
Good luck everyone! Hunt safe and God bless!

One of the cell cams blew up all day yesterday due to the wind. I went out before work to move it so I didn't have to deal with it all day again. I almost literally ran into two long beards. They had a hen with them. A third tom (you can see him in the background) was trying to make his way over to the action but, turned and went back into the woods. Even after I bummed them, they only went about 70 yards away and just started strutting again. I went ahead and crossed the field and retrieved the camera. I set it up where I first encountered them. I hope I can get that close Wednesday morning!

11 YO grandson hunting with me and his dad in the blind, first hunt with a 12 GA. At 7:30 2 toms and 6 hens approached our decoys with the boss leading the pack running in the approach. At 30 yds the 12 GA sounded-off and the boss went down into a pile of flapping feathers. The shot was perfect and the smiles and handshakes were a wonderful memory of an outstanding hunt for the youngster. He can't wait for next season and do it again with his dad's 12 GA. Oh, he weighed 22.8 # and the beard was 11.5" long. Good luck to all of us on Wednesday. BOB That's a great hunt with three generations in the blind! Congratulations to the young man! 🤝

I'm going to break it all down and put some heavier lube on it. It all appears to be bone dry for some reason.
