Brother woke up this morning too a sow and 3 cubs in his yard. I told him to get closer and get pictures but he wasn’t having any of that.

I learned a pretty foolproof system for trapping them if you have a dock. It's a submerged 5 gal bucket set. Google it Yup. Also got them just by hanging 330 off dock with a sucker minnow on the trigger.

They will develop a trail between your pond and the shortest distance to a lake/river. A 220 set in the trail will take them out quickly. They are also smart critters, if you harass them at a certain location (small birdshot), they will typically avoid that area. Your recommending small bird shot would that be something like 3 1/2" 2's ? LOL, perfect!!!

You should be able to find out what pack it's from then, correct? Depends if they would take the time to look it up for me.

Ok, so the wife has just discovered a mama possum and her babies living under our deck. Anyone got any good tips for evicting them? Already told her to immediately stop putting out food for the squirrels. Put 2-3 livetraps together in one area, catch whole family at one time and relocate..although some states it is illegal to relocate nuisance wildlife and it must be euthanized.

I got 3 nesting at my house pond, plus both wood duck boxes have nests. SEVERAL nesting at my north grounds. They get so used to the dogs while Im out training. They dont even get off their nests when a dog runs by them. Pain in the ars after hatching, they get after the dogs if they get to close, not good on young inexperienced dogs.

Not sure how the laws on public are there, but here if you put a stand on public ANYONE can hunt it on a 1st come bases. I've never ran into that issue, but I have added baits to people's deer stands and hunted bear out of them. Stands are to be removed after deer season but I can find a dz or more on a daily drive around here without getting off the improved roads.
