A really good friend of mine said the same thing, he always wore long sleeve shirts, even in the summer. I can understand people regretting them. Especially if they made some life changes. At 41 years old, I don't regret getting them. All of mine mean something to me. They are either family related or have something to do with stuff that I'm passionate about like hunting and archery. I don't ever see myself not enjoying those. I let my daughter come up with a design with her name in it and I got that tattooed on my chest. When I see old pictures of me before I got them it looks very strange to see my arms bare. It just doesn't look right to me. They personally do not bother me but I do worry about first impressions. When I lived in Indiana I would always go long sleeve when asking for permissions. I stopped to just visit a dairy farmer that had let me hunt a few years, he asked when I had gotten "all those tattoos", I said Ive always had them. He mentioned had he seen them when I first asked he may have said no. Still to this day some seem shocked when they first notice them on me. Long sleeves still when meeting clients for first time.

All of mine either gets picked up daily by local trappers or in a pinch Im allowed to dispose of it on private ground. I try to keep a small bait pile going behind the house for coyote removal (very few here). Once the wolves find it I quit. When I lived in Indiana the fertilizer plant picked up once a week, used to be free but then they started charging.

Here is the Indiana Code.... codes.findlaw.com/in/title-14-natural-and-cultural-resources/in-code-sect-14-22-38-4.html(c) Notwithstanding section 6 of this chapter, if a properly tagged deer is brought to a meat processing facility and the owner of the deer:
(1) fails to pick up the processed deer within a reasonable time; or
(2) notifies the meat processing facility that the owner does not want the processed deer;
the deer meat may be given away by the meat processing facility to another person. The meat processing facility may charge the person receiving the deer meat a reasonable and customary processing fee.Thats awesome and the way it should be. We asked the local C.O. back in the mid 90's if we could do that and was told no. Glad to see things have changed.

I checked out his Facebook page. Have the laws changed there? When I processed in Indiana we asked if we could charge processing fee's for summer sausage and deer that were not picked up by the customer, we were told no. That it was considered selling wild game. Apparently laws have changed. They can and do charge for processing fees as well as additives and labor for summer sausage. Sure, I charge processing fee's, additive and labor fees for specialty meats for the person who owns the deer. Im meaning for and from deer that the owner has abandoned or never picked up.

Is it legal in Indiana for a wild game processor to sale/ask for donations for deer and sausages that were not picked up by customer?

Have been cutting shooting lane's/firewood last few weeks but the ground is getting to soft for the skidloader. Calling for 1-3 of snow tonight, then back into the teens and low 20's at night. Should be able to get in another week or more of cutting. Got two more lane's to cut, 160yd and a 190yd.

I feel those emotions all the time as well. Having a single child that has been attached to you at the hip for many years, then they grow up and leave the nest is hard. Ive had some good hunting, fishing, trapping partners in my life but none better than my son. I make a updated pictorial video of him every few years, I probably watch it once every couple weeks. Never gets old and the emotions are felt every time.

For the last couple weeks I've been cutting a shooting lane along the south end of the property line. The neighbor had made a 4wheeler trail along there 15 years ago but it is mostly grown up. I knew there was a old fence in there so I started metal detecting through the snow finding the old nocked down fence. When I got clear to the southeast corner I found the old steel surveyors post and metal plate. I then backed off about 10ft and started cutting my trail. Neighbor will not be happy when he finds out almost 80% of his trail was completely on me..LOL. Should I call and let him know what Im doing? I have not seen him up here for almost 10 years. Things could get interesting when I start cutting the east line between me and the Indian land.

isn't it called asphalt? or is that to offensive sounds to much like a$$. your guess is as good as mine whenever it will stop From being in the state transportation industry, you have either bituminous pavement (blacktop) or aggregate pavement (concrete). So yes, they have removed all offensive connotations from our roadway material. We call them Tar roads (blacktop), gravel roads have several names (and what we have the most of) dirt, minimum maintenance, forestry rd, logging rd. Hwy 33 is all gravel.

The native's are at it up here. The Lake that my town of Squaw Lake was named after has been changed to Natures Lake, surprised the town has not been changed as well. I had the highway department out last year to get a driveway approach permit for a lot I purchased next door, he said if they announces my town as Squaw Lake they will be fired, they must announce it S.Lake. Funny thing is the Indians named most all the lake's in Minnesota. news.minnesota.publicradio.org/features/200104/30_robertsont_squawlake-m/

Do they still have that large pout fishing contest up there where they give away a new truck? No, they stopped it a few years ago. It was pretty much just a drunk fest but the reason they stopped it was because of the trash that was left on the ice after the events. Eelpout Festival, was held on Leach Lake.
