Hunted Perry county last couple of days. Saw 6-7 does each hunt but no bucks. I don’t think the rut is here yet in my area, cameras showed bucks up at night. Headed up that way with my boy tomorrow morning, I'd be happy with a doe, he says he's waiting on a big buck, we shall see. He got spoiled last year! Hope he gets a big buck, good luck. |

I got my second wind. Will stay until dark even though it's been a little less eventful than I had hoped for. Hopefully those does from this morning come back through and bring a nice buck with them.

You see the Deer the Grasper boy shot on Monday in another county? Getting down shortly. Seen 7 bucks but all 1 and 2 year olds, along with 5 doe's. Just about all were within 15 yards. Stupid spike was eating vine leafs off my ladder stand. 😆 ,, greg this is buck i was talking about. Giant.  Here is the one I was talking about…   |

Got today off work. Waiting in line to pick Luke up from school, then heading to the field. Hoping he gets an opportunity one of these times before gun season starts.

Had a doe fawn under my stand for the last 40 minutes.... she is still milling about.

Don't even get to our spot and bumped 2. A 1.5 y.o. buck and what we assumed was a doe. Set up about 245 in the exact spot we had all the action last night. Praying a doe comes by. I gotta figure a better way back into here.

In the tree ready to fling some arrows.
Wind is blowing to field edge 75 yds away to my right. I am in open woods 30 yds from a thicket edge I have seen bucks skirt numerous times. I have had deer walking N & S to my right befor. If that happens I am hopeing they are close enough my sent blows over them not to them

My bud and I are gonna try a no show in big oaks tomorrow. Hopefully we can get in. Gonna get down out of this tree here shortly to prepare. Maybe we will see you there. My buddy and I are doing the same thing. If we don’t get drawn I will be going to a local firehouse for a veteran firefighter’s breakfast. |

Well, at least we had "minutes" of peace and quiet. Chainsaw singing and a quad zooming next door right on time. 😒 No bother to the deer, just to us. Happens about every time here. Someone should be warming up their gun range any time as well.

Dogs, leaf blowers, my wife yelling at her dog, etc...since the neighbor boys have grown up the dirt bikes have gone away too. Those are like nails on a chalkboard to me |
