I'm way back in the biggest woods, right before the steep hill to the creek. Very quiet so far. On stand around 6 am. Camera was busy at midnight. Not any big ones thou.

I'm staying out of woods until gun season since I got my buck. I'm watching the back yard from the hot tub this morning. No movement yet.

Real good action so far this morning! Six different bucks..3.5 yr old wide short-tined 10 with junk on his bases that made 3 new scrapes and tore my rope scrape up. Another couple 3.5 yr olds, three yearling bucks, a doe and fawn. Two of the 3.5 yr olds were seeking/chasing pretty heavy.

Another doe followed by 3 different bucks. One of them is a buck we call Funky. Again alot of history with him last couple years. Might end up regretting giving him a pass. But it's been hot so far today.

Just heard a buck chasing a doe. Saw the doe but not the buck. Just heard him grunting and crashing through the thick stuff.

Had two does, a button buck, and a small 8 hanging around for awhile. Haven't seen any chasing yet. Did hear a deep grunt from the thick stuff at first light but never saw the deer.

Just had a shooter take the same trail as the forky. +-45 but treed.... when I grunted he stopped behind a tree. Headed up into the CRP and would have come out directly across from the rifle stand I just put up. ๐ I stopped him with a couple more grind but he wasn't interested in a fight.

I'm getting out of the stand. Saw 1 deer, but no idea if buck or doe. To far away. I need to rethink the ridge stand. I walk to much in the woods to get there. I need to move to the near side of the ridge next year. This will cut off 300 yards. Hunt basically the same area. Catch the deer coming off the ridge down into three creeks that come together that feeds into the south fork Laughry creek.
