It worked, but not close enough. He was onto me at this point. Down wind. Figured I would get a pic. Not the same deer I saw pushing does but enough to keep me interested  |

We sat out this morning to get some stuff done around here and let him get caught up on school work. Going to set up close to where we did last night here in a bit. Seen 6 or 8 different bucks and 2 does. Hopefully a doe slips up and comes in close enough for an opportunity. In this program he has to harvest a doe before a buck.

My bud and I are gonna try a no show in big oaks tomorrow.
Hopefully we can get in.
Gonna get down out of this tree here shortly to prepare.

I really like Venustas, and no, I’m not pro staff. I left it in the bin today and paid the price… it’s worth every penny, but you need to wear it over one shirt only. I have a Pnuma vest. It works great and the battery life is better than advertised. It is a "next-to-skin" vest, which is why I suggest buying a size or two larger than normal. I've always preferred a little less tight fit, just my preference. They are not cheap, around $150, which is why I will ignore the fit and use mine until it dies. My neighbor told me about Pnuma. He was elk hunting in CO and his guide gave him crap about using artificial heat. A few days later the guide was freezing while Jack was comfy. The guide pulled out his phone and ordered one from the mountain. I plan to get a heated fleece vest for work. I've looked into the Venustas and Ororo. They both look good. Project farm, a utuber did a review on heated vests. Most name brands. Did battery life, temp at different settings with temp guage,battery fit,assessability and weather the battery placement was cumbersome, uncomfortable wile whareing or awkward. Might want to check it out. Good vedio. I know if I ever decide to buy one I will go and watch it again |

Super disappointing day, 4 right after daylight with a small buck pushing a doe. Nothing after that woods quiet as can be. Figured the woods would be on fire this morning. Days like this make you regret more and more losing the one that I did last week

Lil guy 1.5 yr 8pt (barel) just cruised through.... most of these deer have walked right over my path and not flinched... good stuff.

That’s a bummer. That’s also why I stopped hunting Borden. I am not mad about it. I don't own or expect to be unmolested deer hunting. They moved deer around. Just part of it. Could be the farmer cutting crops, feeding cattle or riding side by sides. I got a few spots there that would avoid most of this. |

Moved 1 mile to the south end of farm this a.m. ,have had 3 bucks and 2 doe come by. 2 year old worked scrape and ran smaller bucks off.  You see the Deer the Grasper boy shot on Monday in another county? Getting down shortly. Seen 7 bucks but all 1 and 2 year olds, along with 5 doe's. Just about all were within 15 yards. Stupid spike was eating vine leafs off my ladder stand. 😆 ,, greg this is buck i was talking about. Giant.  |

Hunted Perry county last couple of days.
Saw 6-7 does each hunt but no bucks. I don’t think the rut is here yet in my area, cameras showed bucks up at night.

4 bucks , 3 does . All 1.5 to 2.5 year olds just cruising
