I've now been 4 times and not found any.
Black morels are usually first where I look and found near Poplars.
I know that I started looking earlier than I normally do, but there seems to be so many finding them a few weeks earlier than usual.
Anybody else been this year yet?

I’ve seen some posts from far southern Indiana on a morel mushroom hunting site. No doubt it’s coming, seems a little earlier than normal which makes sense given our January and February. I’m in the north part of the state, won’t start looking till mid April. My earliest find was April 15, can’t remember what year but maybe 6-7 years ago.

Looks earlier to me, I will be home in April and was hoping to find some. Will still be looking while out for sure. Be nice to find some, hadn't had those in forever. Good hunting to you all...SF Woody

Still none for me, but found two hornet nests that were not torn up over the winter. Both were big. One was way, way up in the top of a tree and this one was pretty dang close to the creek water. Maybe 10' up. Did finally see some field turkeys on the way home. One strutter and several more scattered around him.

I've never hunted for them, just not been there at the right time. I know they have been found at the cabin in the past. I'm hoping to find some if there at the right time....Looking a little better now...SF Woody

Finally coming up in Daviess. I like finding a patch of big ones! Usually find the black ones a couple weeks before the rest, but not this time.
