I’ve done a couple 5 minute scouts this week, still nothing here in my neck of the woods. This rain and warmer temps has got to help. Maybe this weekend.

 It’s a start. Some pretty small ones, but decided to pick all I saw given that I also saw tire tracks in the field. This was from my wife’s aunts place, she lets several people in. All fresh, just starting here. |

I just don’t like morels. I like mushrooms, but cannot get into them for whatever reason. Weird.

Had a logger walk our property and the neighbors this afternoon. Told him we’ve never found a morel on our place. Tons of other edible shrooms but not a single morel. He looked the entire time we walked and was bound and determined to find one, but to no avail. Just odd to me.

He looked the entire time we walked and was bound and determined to find one, but to no avail. Just odd to me. Same on two different properties that I hunt squirrels and deer. Never have found the first mushroom. The other place I hunt turned up two good messes from youth turkey into the regular turkey season 2 years ago. Didn't make it up there last year. |

Got the kids out and found 75 more today. Some dried up, some new and fresh.

So how long does it take them to grow? I left 3 my last trip because they were 2" or less. Found two of those 3 and they were the same size. Had been 3 days. Tonight's trip... 23.  |
