So who is or might or if is going to the Group gathering? I believe that I’m going to be more prepared for this gathering then last years gathering . I bought some rubber boots . I pulled out my camo bought a air mattress. I just need to remember to bring more music than the one CD that I had with me last year. 4 hours of driving and listening to the same 3 songs that I liked drove me crazy. As of now I haven’t been told of other plans, so I’ll be stopping by. |

Made it to the woods after work today. Wow that place is tore up. I have the quad trail free of most of the downed trees, but the weeds are a bit of a different story. There seems to be squirrels everywhere this year and they are already tearing up the corn field.
Thermocell. If you don't already swear by them, you might want to seriously consider getting one.
Bring friends, bring kids, bring your neighbor, and bring extra ammo because the trees start falling once the crops are out and the tree rat population needs thinned before the starve this winter. ;-)
Oh, if you are road legal, bring the 4 wheelers and help a guy kill some weeds. :-)

Yeah.... it's been a banner year for weed growth. It hasn't helped that my ATV was down for 6 months this and nobody road the trails. |

Yeah.... it's been a banner year for weed growth. The feller that usually bush hogs my food plot a couple times during the summer did not get it done. The field is now over knee high in places. Going to start working on it next week.. |

I’m so excited about this upcoming weekend . That my Jeep is about 85 percent packed , All that needs to be packed is my gun , my sisters bow , my tent and food.
So who’s camping this weekend besides me ?

I’m going to be there by NOONISH on Friday your time. Your a hour ahead of me . I wanted to apologize for not spending much time with you this weekend. Like I said at dinner, I only got a couple hours sleep Friday night. Then Saturday night I didn't get to sleep until around 1:30. I woke up almost 11 Sunday and when I got functional and headed over to you had already gone. Hopefully the surgery this December fixes the issues and I can get back to a normal person again. |

It’s all good. The Large mouth Bass were hitting the bluegills were hitting, the food was great Friday ( the couple in the RV ) offered me dinner. Saturday morning everyone offered me coffee and Dinner Saturday night was great. Plus it was great to get a lot of me time in , something that I really needed.

Made it down to camp this weekend to do an assessment. We came to the conclusion that we will not be able to host the gathering this year. Clean up efforts certainly feel like they have been moving along well, but reality proves that we have gotten old and slow.
Sorry guys, we'll have to get things going again next year.
