I'll have to look at the address and see where you are at....but I live in Decatur county! I would think I may be able to make it at least one day....
Just how far are you from Wyaloosing Golf course? We may be closer to neighbors than I thought......

Absolutely new members are welcome. The golf course is one road West of us. It's the opposite side of the block of woods, one crop field, and across highway 3 away.

Just two weeks away!
Dinner is planned for around 6pm Saturday.
I will be at camp about 3 or so Friday afternoon, but is anyone arrives prior to that my brother will be there to point you in the right direction.
If anybody wants/needs to bring an atv to help with access to the woods on the back of the property feel free. I have trails made that are mostly user friendly. Just remember to comply with all state laws regarding ORVs.
From what I am hearing, there will be a few prospectors in camp that weekend and they we will be joining us for dinner Saturday. If you ever had an interest in gathering gold go check out what these guys do. They will be happy to answer any questions and might even let you try out the equipment.

So far it's a still go for me . My plan is to leave that Friday morning at 7:30 am right after work .I should arrive around Noonish . A question for anyone that's going , What kind of side dishes do you like ? potato salad , macaronie salad , etc. .

I'm just going to sleep in the back of my jeep . I'm bringing my 16 gauge pump with 7.5 loads and my .410 single shot with 7.5 loads . I have my menu made up for meals and snacks .

We actually have a spot set up for SUV camping. We had a prospector come in Pontiac Aztec that would unload his gear and sleep in it.

There is no real need to bring a dish to feed everybody, that's the idea of everybody bringing a little of something. Absolutely not, there isn't any fee. Roll in, enjoy yourself and the property, meet and make friends, leave being glad you had the experience. |

I was told today that the local Conservation Club is holding a still board shoot on Sunday 9/1. If anybody coming to the outing wants to go shoot, the club is about 5 miles down the road from camp.
And for you rubber band chasers, there is a golf course about 5 miles the other direction. :-)

How many came out last years event ? I can’t wait for Friday to come . I’m leaving around 8:00 am unless I get my hunting / fishing license before Friday. I invited my sister and brother to tag a long but they declined.! I read where they are calling for thunderstorms this weekend.

If I remember correctly, we had 5 members make it for dinner, but only one or two camped. We had around 20 total at dinner. It was good to meet new people and hear a bit of their life story.
I would love to have 50 show up, but I'll take whoever can make it.
As for the weather, I take very little stock in what the weather people say. We we're supposed to be sunny and upper 80's this last weekend and ended up with golf ball to baseball sized hail.

I just finished getting my groceries for the weekend. I’m askin about the weather because I’m doing about a 4 hr drive one way . I don’t feel like sitting in my Jeep all weekend. I going to be leaving around 7:30 or so Am . This Friday. Tomorrow morning I’m getting my hunting and fishing license.

Someone called yesterday and said they would be in around 4 with a pop-up camper. I'm scheduled to get off work at 2:30, but it's the last day of the month and I have to get my job completed so finance can close the month Saturday morning. I'll be down as soon as I can. |

Huntinfreak and jbird will be there. They are both local and plan on being there Saturday evening. Last I knew Waynes was planning on coming over and bringing some of his home brew. Somebody called my brother and reserved a spot for a pop-up camper, but I haven't the slightest clue who. :-) If you have the chance, come in over. I most certainly would enjoy sharing a meal with you again. |

My beer didn't turn out. Had issues with a thunder storm. I hope to make it, but this year my fall allergies are bad. Spent 10 minutes this evening and had to come in. Saturday like last year.
