Sounds like a great time. My wife and I made it down to the Ohio river campsite in (Patriot)fri eve, had every intention of coming up Sat morn but got roped into a major water line repair on my sister-in-law 5th whl. I even brought my new Gold Rush Nugget Bucket with me. Hope there is another opportunities to meet up ! The gold camp is open daily year round except during deer gun seasons. Any time you want to come over, just let me know.

Is there a chance on the same dates for next years camping gathering ? This way this DEC. I can put my next years vacation days in for those dates and they will be locked in .

We don't ever have an official prospecting outing on Labor Day weekend, so as far as I'm concerned we can leave this as a scheduled annual event.

If I make it back to this event I'm bringing a bow fishing rig.

If all works out I'll bring some Mack Brewery (homemade) beer. Not sure what flavor yet. If anyone has a suggestion send me a message. Note: something most will like. I'm thinking of a Irish Red to light brown ale.

The more the merrier.
We have a decent number of carp in the creek, so bowfishing should be good. They aren't huge, but getting some out before that happens is probably a good idea.
Last year's brew seemed well liked.

Less than 2 months away!
I will be needing to know how many campers and what size will be planning to attend this year so I can make sure everyone has the right sized spot. Tents will fit anywhere. :-)
Remember to bring friends and bring kids. The squirrels need thinned out.

5 weeks away!
A buddy of mine agreed yesterday to come down for the weekend and cook the meat for Saturday night dinner.
He is bringing his smoker and cooking up some of my firsts from last season. Whole backstrap from my first archery deer. Breast from my first turkey this spring. Whole pork loin from work for Christmas.
I believe there will be more than enough to go around, so everybody bring their favorite side dish!
