I was able to get some scrape scent today for a drip. Not sure where my dripper is, but it's around somewhere.
I'm not thinking that I'm going to set it up yet, but I really don't know. Do you guys think it might be too early for the dripper?

Here's my tree stand over my food plot. I put the blind on today in the rain. Wooooohoooooo! It is not set up like designed, but didn't want to cut down a branch. It worked good for me. Here's three weeks growth. I couldn't be happier. Deer have not found it yet, and at this point I'm happy that they haven't. I'd like more growth before they start munching on it.

Thanks Woody! Even those thinner spots are starting to fill in with oats. I wish I knew for sure what I had done or not done in those areas. I did put fertilizer down and could have easily missed that area or didn't cover the seed deep enough. I cut it down to 3/4 ac after I planted the tubers. When I realized that I wasn't going to have enough seed for 1.5 ac, I stayed within shooting range of my stand. I thought that I had made a big mistake when I ran the disk over the tuber seeds, but they seemed to like it. I thought I may have put them too deep. I may try it will all the seed next year. I'll eventually figure out what I need to do every time. I'm thinking that I may lose that spot next year. Land owner is thinking about getting some lamas or some critter. He won't eat them. I already have a pet and enough other mouths to feed. I think I can get him to let me take another area, which will work out great too.

Checked my plot Saturday and I'm guessing the lack of consistent rain has worked against me. Really disappointed how it looks. Picked up my winter wheat today and I'll sow over my bare spots. Hopefully that'll come in.

Hopefully that'll come in. Will, if my soil hadn't been so wet, I can't imagine much growth without rain for two weeks. The dew was heavy here too; that had to help some. I did fertilize, but I didn't do a soil test. I may fertilize next year too. I hope you get some rain.

whitetail1 and I went out to the lease today to hang some stands. First order of business was to check out the two week old plots. I had zero expectations for the plots, that way if they failed I would not be disappointed but I could not be any farther from disappoinrted!! Middle plot with our rubbing post Not sure what everything growing is and quite sure weeds are part of it. I think I see some winter rye, peas, radish. We planted those plus white and red clovers, chicory and oats. pretty certain the plant in the center of the photo is a weed...
