I wonder if this coming out is part of NY's going after NRA's non profit status? I expect there will be a lot more before this is all over. The prosecutor can leak what they have found during their investigations. I do agree that hunters should not be shamed for doing what is legally done.

Hey everybody! There's some wooded areas along the little calumet river between highland and gary, along the power lines and railroad tracks( sorry, dont know if anyones familiar with the area). I'm not asking for anyones secret spot, but anyone got any advice or suggestions? Joe buckmaster Rivers are ok. Banks maybe not. It is private property up to a certain point and you need permission to hunt private. I think this has been covered several times in the Ask the CO section. It gets kind of technical. Bottom line is you can take a boat down certain streams and rivers but you cannot walk the banks. Railroads and adjacent property are private and again you need to have permission to hunt. Again the CO for your area can fill you in. Also even if you do not need to have Hunter Education taking a Hunter Ed course will probably benefit you. Here are some sources from the IDNR www.in.gov/dnr/places-to-go/indiana-dnr-locations/www.in.gov/dnr/fish-and-wildlife/properties/www.in.gov/dnr/fish-and-wildlife/hunting-and-trapping/hunting-trapping-guide/

Of course deer got infected. They never mask up and do not practice social distancing.
Have farm animals been tested too? A lot of dairy cows have close contact with humans. Chickens and hogs would seem to be susceptible to large scale infections due to the close confinement operations.
It seems like they release a lot of these studies without any real conclusions.

My Father-in-Law would talk the the phone callers. One was putting pressure on him to buy/pay/whatever scam the guy was running. Said would stop buy and rough him up if he did not. Dude even described the house right down to the flag flying on the lamp post. I showed him his house on Google Earth.
He was sending magazine subscriptions to everyone in the family. He thought he would have a better chance of winning Publisher Clearing House.
Some of the stuff I get looks like official Social Security envelopes.

It was not Remington or any of it's sold off businesses but insurance companies that made the offer. I wonder if the insurance companies were responsible for lawyer fees too. I did not watch the news to see how they spun it. I will check youtube though.

Which Remington is paying? "Remington" the ammo maker? The companies that were held by the "Remington" group, Bushmaster, Marlin and others? "Remington" the gunmaker in NY? Or "Remington" the company that filed for bankruptcy? The article does not state that. Makes a big difference. Is this coming from the former "Remington" as part of the bankruptcy settlements?

I don't remember much pain when they did mine. A couple quick zaps with the soldering iron and it was done. It sounds like it would be bad but it really was not.

If you have a Marlin it is a matter of removing the lever screw. -
Open the lever until the bolt starts to move.
- Remove the lever screw
- Remove the lever
- Remove the bolt
- the ejector will fall out
- Clean from the breech
- Reassemble in reverse order
[/ol][/ul]

Do not forget to put the ejector in. A heavy duty set of tweezers will be your friend. Hemostats and needle nose plyers work too. Just do not bugger it up. It helps to cock the hammer, but that will happen when you check for loaded condition. If it is a Winchester or Win Clone good luck. Clean from the muzzle. Henry I do not know but I think it is like a Marlin.

You probably have a blood vessel close to or on the surface. When it ruptures it is hard to stop. It is not in the best environment to heal. It just keeps getting worse. I had one like that and the last time it started bleeding it would not stop. A trip to the ER and the Doctor wannabe called in a EAR, Nose and Throat specialist to do surgery. The ENT guy called for a soldering iron and showed the intern how to cauterize the ends. Well it looked like a soldering iron to me. No more problems. I would skip your Doctor and just go to an Ear, Nose, Throat guy.

I just finished the first season thanks guys. I like it for the lack of drama a lot of shows seem to create today. Except for the bears not too bad.

Auburn Arms, Triple A and Thomlinsons all had decent selections of several flavors of ammo. Rural King Ft Wayne had quite a few .223/5.56 and 9mm Along with a few misc boxes of rifle and pistol. Sportsman Guide Ft Wayne had a fair selection of ammo.
I was picking up some springs off Brownell's web site and browsing for something to fill the box. Found they had a fair supply of powder. I picked up 2 lbs Lil'gun and a pound of HP-38. I recently added a Hornet to the accumulation so I now have a lifetime supply of Lil'gun. HP-38 is a backup for the WW231 I use in my .45ACP.
I have been seeing prices falling on several calibers. I hope the trend continues.
If what I am seeing Primers listed for that they do not have it could be bad news. About double what they were 2 years ago.

I think public land could almost be split north and south. I hunt northern F&W areas and some reservoirs. Very different from the HNF and other areas in the south.
If anything from my experience at Pidgeon River and Roush Lake after Gun opening weekend there is little pressure on either.

All the forms and the interviews all ask repeatably about thoughts of suicide. My medigap insurance wants to come out for a home visit. Told them NO. Last year I got a call from them to do an over the phone physical. She asked if I had questions. I told her yes because I was due for my anual Prostrate exam. How was that going to work.
What iritates me the most is when you go into the ER or Clinics. Now my old insurance HMO we had to go to the Luthern Group. I would see the same forms at each different facility. Why do I have to fill out the same forms? But what really gets me is when you go to admitting. They take a brief summary then send you to a room. The nurse comes in with a clipboard with more forms. You give her details she writes them down with your vitals. Then the Doctor comes in and asks the exact same questions.
I take a Low Dose Asprin every day along with my blood pressure pill. I asked my Doctor about the reccomendations that the AMA wanted it stopped. My Doctor said that there were some people taking it on an empty stomach and getting ulcers. I get up in the morning, take my pills and go have breakfast. No problems.

I checked about getting one of the new cards to replace my old one. Still in good shape. They wanted $25. Maybe I should apply for a new one?
