Our hunt ended up ruined by a poaching/trespasser. It was a grown man by himself and he literally shot at the bird we were trying to work out of the field. Buddy called the field owner and he said no one should be there. Luckily he missed the bird and it started making a straight line to us, but the guy got up and walked all over the field scaring it off. It was fun while it lasted, but that made me mad.

Quiet as could be early on. Finally got some gobbling now. Trying to pull one off a field now, but that can be a pretty tough task.

Getting ready to head out the door in a few. Nice clear morning, so hopefully the birds are talking after the rainy cloudy day yesterday.

Son just said he wants to give it a go in the morning. Can’t stay too long as my daughter has a band competition in Columbus at 11:30. Been lots of birds in the area, so hopefully we just get it done early and are outta there.

Good luck with them. I wouldn’t take a free camper from them. Horrible experience is all I had there. Took our brand new camper in for repair because the slide leaked. Took forever to fix it. Then we went to pick it up and they wrecked it bringing it to the parking lot. They had our camper for a total of 164 days before we finally picked it up. We had to go winterize it in their parking lot because they wouldn’t even do that for us for taking so long. I tell everyone I know to never go there. The bad thing was the lady rep helping us laughed when she told us they wrecked it. Had multiple managers come talk with us and needless to say I lost my temper and luckily my wife pulled me away or I probably would’ve ended up arrested by the time I was done.

Sure is a great looking place. Lots of things to do to keep everyone busy. Crazy to me they built all that house and didn’t out any ac in it. At least that’s what the listing shows.

Got all our clothes sprayed down with permethrin today and they’re hanging on a line to dry. Also, finally got a turkey gobbling here in the area of the house. Took long enough, so I’m just sitting on the front deck listening to him hammer away.

It is sad, but just glad they got some closure for the families.

I’ve been where I’m at for 15 years now, which is my longest with one employer. It’s the federal government, so to leave would take one heckuva pay raise and better schedule to match what I get now with retirement, insurance, pay, working from home, and schedule. There is always opportunity elsewhere though for individuals. I’d say can’t hurt to ask for things to better your life when starting with a new company.

Here’s hoping for the best. If not, as others and yourself have said, you won’t have any issues getting employment, but it does stink to start over.

I’m going to say a 550# jack would be fine for what you’re needing. Like you said you aren’t putting the entire thing in the air, just the front. As mentioned above you should have the jack stands too just in case something were to happen with the jack.

Cut up some chicken breasts into tenders for dinner and tried some chorizo on big z for the first time as well. That chorizo patty on that small cast iron skillet turned out pretty dang good. I love chorizo anyway, but the outside was crispy and the inside was nice and tender.
