Rifle. Scope. Tags. Tree stand. Boots. Jacket. Bibs. Pack. Ammo. Snacks (this is a big one). Warm hat. Cool hat. Cold hat. Socks. Cold weather socks. Base layer. Bow. Arrows. Crossbow. Bolts. MAN THAT STORE PRICE IS CHEAP. LOL Yes it is but not AS bad if you factor in the years of use from each of those items minus the snacks of course. Also don't forget gas as well (for some). I've been getting YEARS of use out 9f my snacks my entire adult life. Some of this insulation has enough time in to retire.

First 4 letters of last name. When I made the account and long before I was introduced to quality guns, I thought an 870 was the greatest gun ever built Depending on the intended use, it still is. At least the old ones. 😀

Get a pear variety that matures late closer to October. Bartlett has big yellow juicy pears deer love them. Pears are my plans for the other open spot farther from the road. It's roughly 3 times larger than this one.

Trespassers, poachers, people hunting without permission, currently attempted murder suspects or at least wreckless discharge suspects.

Have you looked into dwarf chinkapin oak? I think that's what I'm going to plant. They start producing acorns in 4 years. I have not, but after the logging I'm really not short on oak trees. My thoughts were to add soft mast to encourage earlier season activity. Hard mast and crops are everywhere and since both orchards in the area have been clear-cut over the years I guess I was aiming fill that gap.

Question from a casual watcher at best.
Why are there so many bowl games now? Seems like when I was growing up there was only a handful at most.

Thank you gentlemen. Sounds like I need to find out what male to female ratio I need. For growth room I think 5 would be the max I can get away with in the area

This week I have been cleaning out an area maybe 100 yards long 10 to 20 yards wide where a bunch of treetops were stacked up after the logging 2 years ago. After a good look and a plans to eliminate some scrub trees half of this are will have direct southern sun exposure. I have been told that persimmon trees need a lot of direct light so I think this will be a suitable place for some.
My question is where to acquire persimmon trees and how big of trees should I be looking for?
My current plan is to put 4 or 5 peach trees in the other half of this area. It too will have good light but it will be broken.
Project number two is and area 30 yards or so wide by 120ish yards long. Once the junk is cleaned up the plan is pear and apple trees

I was talking to my parents one day years ago and said what a good thing substations hadn't seriously come up the terrorist board meeting. Think of the damage 20 guys could do spread out in critical zones. especially in cold weather like we had last week--or as more of a distraction or prelude to something worse. While I think the terrorism danger is very real, I worry more about the same thing that happens with school shootings-- when you see one, every aggrieved nut gets an idea and then you see a bunch more in a short span. Think of how many crazies drive by a substation, often right off the road, every day. Could you imagine the damage a bit of tannerite could do at one of the many rural pressure stations for all the gas transmission lines?

The people doing this are terrorists and when they are caught they should tried and hanged. Period... No one will get caught. Correction, no one of significance will get caught. Like most all of the other extremists groups, some idiot that thinks he's in charge will emerge as the problem but the person funneling the money and pulling the strings will just slide over to the strings of a group on the other side of issue.

I had a few and too fell off the ladder of one. My feet were 13 feet off the ground when I went full Wile-E-Coyote and landed flat on my back. I found a 6" tree next to me and wrapping around my head when I got up out of the 3" deep hole I made. I was 16 or 17.
This is also one of the main reasons I started teaching Hunter Ed.

Even in the event he get convicted of something, he will never go to jail.
The end game isn't him in prison. It is to simply get something to stick that would prevent him from holding office again.

The Earth has never been round. It is much closer to an egg shape than a ball. The bottom side being "fatter" then the upper side.
The biggest thing is the angle charts for solar panels will never be exact. If that were the case then the panels would have to move constantly.

I'm not trying to discredit anything. I just don't belive that one aspect of the deer management system is responsible for the size of the deer we currently see. Your definitely entitled to your opinion...I am sure many see it differently. Personally...I don't believe we could go back to Two Bucks and see the quality we have now. Especially with the modern equipment being used now. I agree that the equipment changes and advancements would make going back detrimental.

What area? While we seem to see more antlered deer, most are young. Besides the freak of nature last year, most of the mature deer seen in our area are roughly the same size they have been for 35 years. The Huff Buck isn’t a freak of nature by any means…. I will say the score was manipulated by the owner of the antlers though. You can try to discredit the OBR all you want but most know what the truth and facts are. I'm not trying to discredit anything. I just don't belive that one aspect of the deer management system is responsible for the size of the deer we currently see.

Way more mature and bigger bucks now than before the OBR. As said, no restrictions on what we get to shoot. I really like all of our hunting structure now. HPR, OBR, season lengths. Some states around us seem so off the wall. What area? While we seem to see more antlered deer, most are young. Besides the freak of nature last year, most of the mature deer seen in our area are roughly the same size they have been for 35 years.
