You think that’s a good thing then ? I don’t….. Most people planning on shooting multiple deer will buy the bundle. I just think since they want an all weapon antlerless license, there should also be an all weapon antlered license instead of having weapon specific antlered licenses.

With the new proposals, they won't be either sex licenses. That's what I first mentioned that Joe left out of his email that is in the proposal package. The plan was to make an all season/weapon antlerless license, make the "bonus antlerless" map simply an county antlerless limit map, and make current archery/firearms/muzzleloader licenses antlered only. Doing that will make folks have to buy two licenses or bundle that want to shoot the first deer they see during any season …. Just like gun season is now! Yes

I can't tell if you're just pointing out the counter arguments, or if I'm not being clear with what I'm trying to say. Can someone give a valid reason to keep separate weapon licenses for antlered deer since we are a one buck state, they want a multiple weapon license for antlerless, and we currently have multiple "bundle type" licenses good for any weapon, any season, any deer? Why not just create a season long, any weapon, antlered license? Honestly, I'm a LTL holder, so it doesn't affect my hunting. What it does, is gives me a headache answering questions during Hunter Ed classes and public events we attend. Archery and muzzleloader are either sex license…. Sounds like they would have buy 2 license then! With the new proposals, they won't be either sex licenses. I understand the simplicity, but I also know guys who hunt for just one deer a year and don't shoot does. It seems a bit wrong to ask them to buy a license for multiple deer just for one. The reason given for not having an annual antlered license was data points for research for the number of people using certain weapons to hunt. To me, with the ability to ask questions while checking in deer, that seems like a lame excuse to avoid saying they want the extra money. Youth, lifetime, and bundle licenses prove that weapon specific information doesn't have to come from weapon specific license sales. The Bundle is a multi weapon license also not just a multi deer license…..If you’re hunting multiple weapons for your one Deer the bundle work’s also . The Buck tag is probably the most popular tag so why give a discount ? If you’re a one weapon person then just buy ONE tag like you always done. I can't tell if you're just pointing out the counter arguments, or if I'm not being clear with what I'm trying to say. I still feel since they want an any season antlerless license they need to create an any season antlered license and stop making multiple season hunters by multiple licenses just for the opportunity to kill an antlered deer. They way this was originally laid out, not quite so clear in the email, is archery, firearms, and muzzleloader licenses would become ANTLERED ONLY. To me, this sets up a chance for the state to triple dip on a hunter that is hunting for just their 1 buck for the year. Or just buy the bundle and hunt all seasons ….pretty simple really I understand the simplicity, but I also know guys who hunt for just one deer a year and don't shoot does. I liked how the dnr concluded their response with, and no we didn’t drop rattlesnakes from helicopters. I have to field that rumor every year during my Hunter Ed classes. It's exhausting

I dunno, if the limit was the same as they have on coots, I bet we'd see less geese. I believe there are so many here because they aren't migrating, but staying all year long. Absolutely. 15 years or so ago when I read gas meters I saw a neck banded goose in a housing addition pond that I saw every month for a cou0le years. When I called in the band it said it was banded near Hudson Bay a year before I first saw it. It came south once and just never left.

I'm curious to see what the output numbers look like on all the solar farms in the areas of this smoke haze.

They should do away with bag limits and stop restricting folks 😊 The harvest limit isn't the cause for the goose issues so many people face. It's the sheer number of refuge acres they have to live in. We've said for years that I465 was the largest goose sanctuary in the state.

I'm honestly surprised Decatur is a 2. Deer sightings in the northwest quadrant was normal last season, the southwest down about 50%, but the other half was down closer to 80%. The valley we are in went to a 2 max per property (1 per hunter) last year and most properties that didn't have kids hunting went no doe to try to help things out.

I believe the definition of what that is and what the outcome becomes is completely dependent upon the age, temperament, and acceptance level of the female involved and the male in her life.

They have been logging out everything salvageable. Logging isn’t free also it comes at a cost….I would thought the state carried insurance on the buildings at parks Most likely. I'm thinking with the DNR already under funded, I want to make sure the rebuild isn't short changed or other ar3as suffer because of money constraints.

I would think there should be a good bit money made from salvaging timber throughout the park. I know...... logging is a big NO NO for some people, but there has to be 100's of blowdowns and "widow makers" needing cut that will absolutely go to waste if they aren't salvaged. They have been logging out everything salvageable.

I heard the closure until fall has been extended indefinitely because of every amenity has damage. I would love to see as many outdoors people as possible send a letter to their state representatives encouraging the use of some of the "rainy day" surplus the state has to repair/replace/recreate the campground and amenities of Indiana's oldest state park. If this event doesn't fit "rainy day fund" reasoning then I can't imagine what would.
Personally, I think this presents a perfect opportunity to build the outdoors program showing future generations the destructive, creative, regenerative, and survival forces nature possesses.

Umm....... I'm 49. I have a metal hip, both knees have had meniscus surgery and will need replaced (one is already at that point), my vertebrae right on top my pelvis has been broken and sits off angle, I have 2 heart stints, and last week I got surprised with gallbladder removal. We are a lot like cars. Our number age doesn't have a lot to do with the milage or how hard the miles are. Take care of and go easy on what you can You win. Lol. I'm not in a competing mood regarding this. I've never been under the knife, except for a couple dental surgeries, and hope to keep it that way as long as possible. I wish you well. Finally winning something is not nearly as exciting as I was expecting.

Good luck with that, not sure how old you are but I'm 46 and starting to feel my age. I'm sure it gets worse from here but it's no fun getting old unless you have fun getting old! Not old enough to warrant these conditions, 48yo. 🤠 Umm....... I'm 49. I picked up 5 persimmon seedlings back in February and 4 survived the cat at the house. They went in the ground Thursday with a T post and tree tube for protection. I'll need to keep track of rainfall and probably have to water at least once a week this summer. Now it's just wait about 10 years to see if I got the right combination of male and female trees for fruit.

Mandatory sentences would likely not deter most of these mass shooters who go on a suicide mission. Most don't plan to leave the scene alive. We have a gun access AND a mental health problem. The only gun access problem we have is preventing law abiding citizens the ability to protect themselves.

If they want private sales to require background checks, then private citizens should have free access to the background check system.
Still not the guns. If movie violence, video game violence, and television violence has zero effect on people's decisions then a piece of metal/wood/plastic doesn't either.
As I've repeatedly asked, what law prevents a criminal from committing a crime? We need mandatory minimum sentences. Just like growing up, the rules didn't keep us in line, it was what would happen when we got caught breaking the rules that kept us in line.
