Wow great to hear 👍 say what you want about big stores ruining markets but when they went out of business it was like ok now what? If I want to go to a decent sporting store I have to travel 2+ hours to go to cabelas. So I’m happy to hear their back in my home town!

Ok class show of hands. What sound does an ar15 make when you pull the trigger. Student makes a noise similar to a Harley rolling down the street. Hmm. And what does AR stand for? Automatic rifle? Wait a minute.. and what makes the rifle so deadly? Because it’s black and black is scary? Is it true that all you do is point and shoot and everyone dies?? And those clips take 100 bullets? And nobody NEEDS one of those assault weapons of war? The bullet travels 10 miles can penetrate an army tank and if you own one you hate “the children”. Hmm. Sound crazy to you? Sounds crazy to me! My purpose for this post is to encourage my sportsman friends to educate your friends and family so they don’t believe all the nonsense on CNN. Teach that the .223 cartridge is fun to shoot because the bullet is so small there’s no recoil same reason people love shooting the .22LR. I took my father in law shooting today and he was shocked to learn that you pull the trigger once and one bullet fires. And if you want to try to shoot quickly it’s very difficult with the muzzle rise so shots are spaced anywhere from one to 5 seconds between each other to have good accuracy. You may have wondered- why does the gov’t use the .223/5.56? Because of cost. It’s the smallest round that will still be effective in battle which = saving money on military ammo contracts. Tell your friends we are not pro-gun (we are) but rather we are pro-freedom for all our rights. An attack on the second amendment is an attack on all rights and we stand for freedom liberals stand for communism (the absence of individual liberty) gun control has never been about the guns it’s always been about the control. Ok say we give up our guns, in 100 years will criminals still have them? Yes. Because they’re criminals they don’t care about the law. Tell me, why didn’t gun-free zone laws keep out the criminals? 95% of ALL mass shootings happen in gun free zones. (Playland for criminals apparently). And finally when your liberal friends ask why does anyone need an AR, remind them they’re asking the wrong question, it’s not about if we need one or not, the question is WHY millions and millions of Americans WANT one so bad? Why is it America’s FAVORITE rifle? Why is it the best home defense weapon? Why are there millions of AR15’s in America owned by law abiding patriots and you want to ban them because of a few law hating criminals? Why is it used so much for hunting? Why is it wanted so much for range day plinking and shooting? Why is it so damn awesome? Why do you think a wood stock makes it look less scary? And why do you want to take away my rights? Are you anti-freedom?? Why are you so afraid to try shooting an AR yet you’ll abuse drugs and alcohol every Friday night. Why don’t you ban drunk driving which kills scores every year? Why do you support the murder of unborn babies at abortion clinics that have claimed millions of lives? And you want to take away my source of protection, my liberty, and my personal property? Shame on you.

I went hunting at a farm last year in Michigan and was very disappointed. These guys talked about great hunting and only taking a shot if it would be a clean one and on and on about ethical hunting. (Like it was my first hunt ever) only to find out these guys were terrible hunters guns a blazing every night, 2 guys each shot bucks they never recovered, one recovered his he gut shot, another butt shot the deer and 4 shots later finished it, the worst kind of hunters in my opinion. That’s the first and last I’ll hunt with those idiots.

When we were kids in the 80’s every family went camping for vacation. No one ever went on a cruise or to Disneyland. No one had the money for that.

They had a good thing going with the ammo rebates last year but i was noticing their latest guns they’ve been producing looking cheaper and cheaper like the RM380. When a company stops innovating they die especially in today’s gun market. I know I’m a frugal buyer. The past few years I said guns were too expensive, sometimes it takes a President like Trump to bring the prices back to reality. And how is it that with the millions Remington made under Obama why didn’t they set back some savings? Companies rise and fall on the decisions they make

Laws are a plague. They always begin with good intentions but progressively erode every aspect of our freedom. Look at gun laws. Where did they start, one day all guns will be banned. Free speech? Today a lot of speech is considered hate speech. The attack on religious institutions? Only a blind man can’t recognize where all laws that aren’t God’s laws lead - enslavement to government - socialism. More laws don’t cure anything. They make criminals of the righteous. Let me answer to God for my actions one day, His laws are the only ones I care about. I vote against all other as being contrary to freedom.

Mandate the people. Let’s mandate everything. People who are for more laws are against personal liberty and freedom. Why did God ever create man to begin with, oh wait now I know! to tell his fellow man he was mandated.

I do believe there’s at least a handful surviving in norther Michigan. I saw something on YouTube showing a big cat last year I believe. (If that’s still considered their range) in fact I personally had an encounter with a big cat up in Gaylord, Mi back in 2010 it happened fast but it was big maybe even the size of a German Shepherd, I thought back then it was a bobcat but I’m not sure those get that big, I remember the really long tail, and just was shocked to see it pass right in front of me in the snow. So graceful but so fleeting in the woods. I’d say it was about 15 yards away

First thing I do is STOP killing any deer there ..... then move forward with a plan! Good point. Safe zones draw does! That = more bucks, and bucks + does = more babies which = more deer.

What is a trans-gender? A person who hates their own body. I’m pretty sure that’s a mental disorder. Do I let mentally challenged people use my firearm? No. Do I let them drive my kids school bus? With a mental illness? No. People suffering from psychological trauma to begin with should be given help both spiritual and mental. Would we let a disabled person serve? What if they reeaaalllly wanted to? No way because we want to give that person the best care we can afford. I don’t hate people who hate themselves, I have compassion for them. My heart sympathies with the suicidal, the annorexic, the people who suffer from guilt based on their race, etc. my point is, no matter how much a mentally deranged person wants to do something even if it is for a good cause, we as a responsible people need to step in and say (mentally challenged person) your heart is in the right place but your mind is damaged, and institutionalize those in need of mental stability, because with the EXTREME abnormal high rate of suicide and depression among those with gender hatred of themselves, we need to medically care for these people not send them into a highly stressful combat situation. Any psychologist would agree that mentally deranged people are unpredictable and in the military that is especially dangerous for themselves and others.

Hmm. Small grassy area with small trees. Sounds like a perfect bedding area. I’d consider planting a couple apple trees on the outside edge, then I think make that thing thick and brushy- deer will be drawn to it if it looks good for cover. Maybe drop a mineral block for them to find that will draw some interest. Plant some willows or some screening grasses. Make it thick so you can’t see into it. Once you get it nice and thick try to stay out of it.

Seems like a simple question, but does more habitat lead to more deer killed? As a general trend, yes, but there will always be some outliers. Could you list the 8 counties that are above the 2500 line?

I gave up watching football on Sundays. Maybe here the there, but I have better thing to do. In fact, I'm ready to get rid of my TV. I would much rather watch college football 🏈 I’d rather watch my neighbor shoot my 10-pointer across my fence line.

Church in the morning, grill out for Sunday lunch, shoot some clay and take a Sunday afternoon nap and play the national anthem and put up a new American flag and donate to a veterans fund and burn a jersey. So many options...

I think.. deer hunting on private land can improve quickly by land owners improving their habitat. Habitat is the key ingredient to attracting and holding deer. On my small 20 acre parcel I know the deer that come and go and each year I make the land more and more useable to the deer. Year 1 I saw maybe 2 deer per week pass through the property. Last year was year 3 of my habitat work and my property was home to 2 spikes, 2 8-pointers, 1 6-pt, 2 does and 2 fawns. And I’d say that’s the limit so next year maybe I take a nice buck, maybe a doe, maybe a spike buck. We’ll see. But improve habitat and regardless what the neighbors are doing you’ll be the one with the deer
