Has anyone done this themselves? Any advice? Any known shops that do it?

Yes bring them in good hearing ranges then they hang up. Irritating, but adrenaline the whole time waiting for him to show himself until you hear that gobble get farther and farther. I've deer hunted since I was 12, never could get grandpa to take me turkey hunting with him. I think I was 26 the first time we went, and the above has got me hooked especially now on my second season (30) I'm eating tag soup, but eager for 2018. There are Things I am going to have to do differently. So excited to see next years results. It's a win being out in the forest though for me too, Since I live in the factory.

Bust for me, late to the woods, 6:40 am I was pulling down the lane, saw a hunter walking the road with a bird slung over the shoulder, thought it would be a good sign though my spot was still a mile further back. Heard only several faint gobbles and that was around 9 am. Called quits at 11 hiked back to the truck and took my hr drive home. Maybe next year... on to fishing..

Going this Sunday. Hope those birds will gobble no holds bar, even if I have to attempt a run and gun. Way it's been I've had the land to myself.
Picked up a Zink cutter, highly recommend this diaphram call. Sound is amazing.

Heard two gobbling all morning got with in 30 yds of one, couldn't see, they were hiding down in the bottom of a ravines. Anyways got with in 30 yds of and called from fixed location a couple times... and he shut up. Hung up....
I think they need to confirm your calling is on the move. To think your another bird
Don't just sit and try to coax but eventully set down your decoy and back away from the gobbling and then do a call further back, it may just bring him in to your decoy and set. In the big woods...

I'm going to suggest and I recommend you try one little spot first and see how it goes. use a wet towel and soak a mud spot, let the water soak into the mud so it becomes as liquid and Gently rub outward from the spine of the feather until mud is gone.

I seen 3 Toms grouped up in a field on the way out, I pulled over and watched for a few. seems like they were sticking around a hen that was feeding. All 3 stayed puffed (I don't know what you call it). They pretty much stayed in one spot the whole time all right next to eachother wing to wing, till the hen moved out of sight and they followed... I did some yelps but they paid no attention. I did hear one gobble once, definatly wasn't from my calling... drove off and up the road was a couple more turkeys, at the time I was just sad good ways from the forest I spent half a day in and the turkeys were In the fields the whole time...
