Yeah we thought he was about 3 1/2 too .Just couldn't pass him up. For the question before about my Savage , I love it . I 've shot muzzleloaders since the late 70's and this is my favorite. Been shooting it for four years now and have taken 3 bucks with it ( 9 , 10 and now a 12)

Thanks for posting these pics for me Woody. Here's my story . After not seeing anything but small bucks this entire season and not seeing any good sign I was surprised about 9:15 Tuesday morning as this buck showed up trotting across the ridge to my left. As he made his way though the thick stuff I found a small opening at 50 yds.and fired my Savage smokeless muzzleloader using 43 grains 4759 behind a 250 gr.SST . I double lunged him and he made it over the hill before crashing. It was my best buck ever .I took him on private property in Perry county Indiana . He grossed 160 6/8 . He has 12 points and weighed 165# . He had 26" main beams and 17 3/4 inside spread.

Shockwaves are HornadySST's that were made for TC and given a different colored polymer tip . Both shoot very well in my Savage using the 250 gr.

We may have an unconfirmed case in Perry County near Derby. A woman I work with said her neighbor called her and said that a doe showed up in her back yard with absolutely no fear of humans and was salivating heavily almost foaming at the mouth.

A guy at work was charged with a felony( Habitual Substance Abuse Offender) and says when he gets off house arrest in November he is going deer hunting with his shotgun and Muzzleloader. Question is can felons possess firearms and are they allowed to hunt with one?

I'm from southern IN and my great -grandfather when asked how he met great- grandmother would say that in 1900 he headed north with his furs and came home with a mule and a squaw(my great- grandmother) . He passed away before I was old enough to ask how far north he went and of what tribe she belonged to and no one else seems to know either.

Went to the FTA National covention today at Evansville , IN with my son and had a great time.We saw new products learned some new things and were glad to be a part of it all.We were told that next year the convention will be in Minnesota and it has been in New York and Pennsylvania in previous years. Check it out if you have time and are interested in trapping , calling and shooting furbearers. www.furtakersofamerica.com/convention.htm

Did you see the picture floating around the internet of a New York Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant with their signboard reading" Hillary Special: 2 large thighs , 2 small breasts and 1 left wing. It was hilarious. ;D

yeah we have them in Perry too. My wife and I have both seen them and my neighbor got a picture of one on a trail camera and they published it the local paper. I heard that they are off the endangered species list now but are still protected .
