....In one season? With all the talk of outrageous antlerless opportunities, I wonder how many does any of us have taken in 1 season. I believe the highest number of does I ever shot was 4. Most years I will take 2. How about you guys?

That I can recall, one. But come firearms season, does are targets of opportunity for me. ;D At most, in my current situation, I would take three deer total, regardless of headgear, unless I knew someone was wanting the meat.

11 Took 5, in about 5 seconds. While sitting in a ladder stand, i had my 870 in my lap pointed to my right. Had 5 does come directly under me before i knew it. Shot 3 of them left handed, (pumping a gun with your other hand feels weird as heck) and the next two right handed. They all fell within 75 yards of my stand. It was definately a moment that i apparently still brag about I miss those dep. tags

Three, have been limiting the harvest on my main area to older does, which are much harder to kill.

I have gone as high as 8 does and 3 bucks in 1 year but I hunt every park hunt and military hunt and any thing in between that I can apply for. That also includes using all weapons bow, shotgun and muzzle loader. When I get to hunt and not in Iraq

Normally, I take 5 or 6 MATURE does from our hunting section. That starts from early archery season in October all the way thru the late archery season ending in January.

4 one year, 2-3 normally. Could shoot more but some let some opportunities pass while waiting for bucks.
