they say the hunt is not in a pen, but i bet it is a pen raised deer that is not afraid of humans. they'll probably let it out on there so called 50 acres the day before whoever is out of there mind to pay for it gets there.

i will usually leave mine out year round. i just loosen them up a bit so the tree doesnt grow so tight around it. then before deer season check them all again

Feels like i need to be sitting in a treestand this morning. this was the first morining since the first weekend in October (well i guess september becuase we were in the fields) that i have got to sleep in and have not gone deer hunting. Going to take a couple stands down/move a couple, check cameras, and put out some mineral blocks. Ohyeah and we are going to chase some tree rats around. so atleast the nice day wont be a waiste.

has anyone else seen this dvd. it made me kind of upset/sick watching it. my girlfriend said she didnt want to see another video made by them. just about every shot in it was terrible. i know ive made some bad shots before, but this dvd only had a few real good clean kill shots on it. it seemed that only jay gregory and pual thorton where the only ones that made good shots. tammy seems as if she needs to back her draw weight down some, looks like she is going to pull muscles or pop something when she drew back. just seeing if anyone else has seen it and what they thought about it.

the farmer we lease our ground off of had 40 of the tags last year. they gave him ten new ones a week for a month. and he was only allowed 5 shooters/hunters also. the paper he gave us from the dnr said that anyweapon except a bow is allowed because it is a kill not a hunt. i think they ended up getting 8 does out there during the summer. we just waited till hunting season to and ended up taking 8 more does off of there and he told us this year his crop damage was way down from last year so he didnt have to call the dnr again to get permitts.

i got done hunting a spot this morning by the house and decided to go check out another spot because the other day i noticed that i couldnt see my blind. went by there couldnt see it this morning so went back home got my boots and went back out there and sure enough they took everything my blind, nice ameristep chair, camera, scent dripper that i had over a scrape in front of the camera. all in all about $500 worth of stuff. i am not a real happy camper right now. seems like i can not go a year with out a camera getting stolen.

i always face mine facing away from from me either quartering or straight away. i noticed when i first started using one that when i faced the head to me that the deer that came into it would start looking for whatever they thought the decoy was looking at

yes it normal. it is so dry that it is shattering and falling out of the corn head when being shelled. we have the same thing in our fields that we shelled back in september, but we are almost done now about 500 acres left to do

drizzled off and on here in hancock county but i decided to climb down and head to the truck around nine. the wind was was flat out getting it were i was and figured trying to shoot my bow in it if a nice one step out would not be a good idea. if we end up getting more rain that would keep us out of the fields today im going to give it another try this evening

if you shoot a buck on a dep tag you cant keep the rack anyway, it has to be turned in to the dnr by the landowner

the place me and my buddy lease. the landowner also farms it and he got 50 dep tags last summer. he put us on the list that would be able to hunt them during the summer and another guy, but this other guy didnt read the regs good enough i guess. he shot a buck and thought he was going to be able to keep it until our landlord told him he had to turn it into the dnr when they came back to check up. he hasnt been out there since. we didnt hunt it at all till deer season and then we put a hurtin on the does. he hasnt said anything this year about the dep tags so we may have helped out a little.

yeah i have had a few cameras stolen that have been locked on. i switched to cuddes for the bear safes because you can use two good sized lag bolts and screw it to the tree then get a contractor grade shielded padlock that masterlock makes and there is no real way to get the camera without bringing a cutting torch back to the woods or just destroying the camera with a sledge hammer i also have some wildview 3.1 and i have found bearsafe boxes for them also

i have three of the new cuddes and i use the bear safes that you screw to the tree and lock the camera in
