I was all dressed up to climb a tree when I heard this strange noise. Looked out and it was pouring so here I sit drinking my third cup of coffee. Maybe this afternoon.

drizzled off and on here in hancock county but i decided to climb down and head to the truck around nine. the wind was was flat out getting it were i was and figured trying to shoot my bow in it if a nice one step out would not be a good idea. if we end up getting more rain that would keep us out of the fields today im going to give it another try this evening

My dad and I each got setup in the rain. It stopped around daylight. I had one small 6 eating corn off the stalk from sunrise till about 8:30. Dad had a small six pick him out on the ground. All around a decent morning. Would have liked to stay in the woods till around 10:30 but dad was wet and cold. Ill be back out at 3 waiting on some slick heads!

Man you talk about Rock and Roll? I was in my stand when it cut loose. Heard the rumbles for sometime and thought to myself that i better get down and head to the truck, but stayed and man did it get with it about 6:30am, lighting, thunder, and heavey rain, it only lasted about 30 minutes.I was more worried about the lighting, But i stayed and then the wind blew to gust of 25mph, and around 10:30 i had enough, No deer sighting, No nothing, Guess i will see what the weather has instore for us the next couple of days.... But i did ride the storm out(REO) Going way back?

I was hoping I could get out an evening or 2 this week but the heat makes that unlikely. I don't have a way to keep one overnight until a check station opens.

daworz, I think I probably would have at least got down. Maybe not gone back to the truck but at least got down, glad to hear you made it back.
